  • Dr. Zachary Hopkins is a is a board-certified dermatologist and member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Society for Investigative Dermatology, and American DermatoEpidemiology Network. He is also pursuing advanced training in autoimmune dermatology with the University of Utah Autoimmune Dermatology group.

    Dr. Hopkins completed his medical school training at the University of Utah School of Medicine followed by a dermatology residency at Broward Health in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. There he developed a passion for complex medical dermatology and autoimmune dermatologic disease. He also worked with a diverse population of patients and learned to appreciate the unique perspectives each patient brings to the visit. His clinical interests include: general dermatology, complex medical dermatology, blistering diseases, dermatomyositis, cutaneous lupus, vasculitis, and complex ulcers.

    Dr. Hopkins is an active clinical researcher studying management of autoimmune disease, including blistering and connective tissue diseases. He is also interested in epidemiology, research design, and promoting high-quality research methodology. Lastly, he is working to validate, develop and implement patient-reported outcome measures to clinical visits. He has authored multiple high-impact journal articles and has spoken at National and International dermatology conferences.

    Dr. Hopkins is originally from Highland, Utah and currently lives in Salt Lake City with his wife and two sons. Together they enjoy spending times in the outdoors, including hiking, skiing, and mountain biking.
