Lara Hayes, MD is an Assistant Professor within the Division of General Internal Medicine and the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah Hospital. As a hospitalist, her interests include the care of medically complex patients, optimizing transitions of care, quality improvement and medical education.

Dr. Hayes received her MD from University of Utah School of Medicine where she was inducted as a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) society and was the recipient of the Paul Wintrope Memorial Award. She received training in Internal Medicine at Duke University Hospital where she was selected to serve as Chief Resident of Quality and Safety.
