Care was great, although I feel like the doctor was extremely rushed, but I truly understand that they are bombarded with patients all day long.. other than that my experience was perfect.. I miss the days when doctors had more time and weren't being spread so thin having to treat one patient after mother so quick.. but I truly do Thank you! I know I am in good hands :)

After discussing options for right shoulder surgery, the doctor and l were able to agree it would be appropriate to try a cortisone shot to relieve pain before surgery would be considered. l felt the doctor was knowledgeable, very competent, and relaxed. I requested to be seen by this doctor because of his reputation. I am an EMT and understand the terminology he was using. I think he was offended by me bringing my x rays from my accident. I wasn't trying to insult him I was told I had a floating calcified bone fragment and was told to see a specialist for it. I hurt my shoulder several years earlier and it bothers me everyday. I am right handed and was just trying to see if I could get some relief from the pain. I am not looking for pain meds I am just trying to see if it is ok.

I found the Dr. T. extremely helpful. He took a great deal of time talking with me about my shoulder. Showed me my images, spoke to me as an equal - though I am not a physician - and treated me with great respect. If he performs surgery like he treated me as a patient, I trust him implicitly. He drew visuals of what a procedure would look like and what my likely outcome would be. I left feeling encouraged and willing to move forward. He offered me good research information from another surgeon so clearly he wasn't looking to make $ off of me but rather was very much looking for a positive outcome for my potential surgery. He was, in short, fantastic.

I work in the medical profession, and I have been a patient to a few surgeries so I have seen both sides of the table. he was very thorough in his exam, which inspired confidence in thinking he really wanted to solve my problem. he was a good listener, confident yet not overbearing, and he didn't seem to come with a preconceived idea that he was trying to fit in my presentation. Dr. Tashjin takes the time you need when you have an appointment with him and he doesn't make you come in for unnecessary appointments. When you're healed, he tells you you're done and no need for any more appointments unless you have some sort of issue. I really appreciate how he helped me through my surgery and recovery.

UofU Patient July 02, 2017

I really like the care Dr. Tashijan showed

UofU Patient June 27, 2017

Dr. Tashjian is wonderful. I have been seeing him for years. He is the best!

UofU Patient June 26, 2017

Dr. Tashjian is the best Ortho doc in the world!!!!

UofU Patient June 23, 2017

I would recommend Dr. Tashjian anytime he is a excellent Dr.!!!

UofU Patient June 10, 2017

Dr. Tashjian and his Team are incredibly talented, skilled and empathetic healers. My entire experience with them has been positive. Everything they told me about my procedure happened exactly how they said it would and my result is fantastic. I am so blessed to have them as the providers of the health care I am receiving.

UofU Patient June 02, 2017

Dr. Tasjian was very good to me, he was kind, compassionate and very concerned about my condition. my treatment was A+

UofU Patient May 29, 2017

Good experience. Researched provider on line and specifically scheduled with him based on that research. I wanted someone specifically for shoulders. He identified that I only had one small tear, whereas locally, I was told I had two, and would require surgery. I may not require surgery after all, and we'll see on follow up. Did not discuss medications - and I realized after I left that I have no idea what the medication I received in the shot was. Re instructions, was advised to continue PT. However, I'm not doing PT right now - will need to call back. Have been doing exercises with trainer. Had PT previously on L arm with success after a shot x 1-2 years ago. I was seen for this appointment for my R arm.

UofU Patient May 26, 2017

Dr Tashjian is the Best!

UofU Patient May 26, 2017

Everything was great!

UofU Patient May 20, 2017

excellent Dr.

UofU Patient May 20, 2017

Give Dr. T more time . . . he needs to be able to explain the surgery and answer questions , , , this is not a simple surgery.

UofU Patient May 17, 2017

Dr. Tashjian demonstrates a real concern for his patients.

UofU Patient May 17, 2017

I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Tashjean to anyone in need. He is an amazing physician because he is so thorough and so respectful.

UofU Patient May 12, 2017

I will not allow anyone else touch my shoulders. He is amazing!

UofU Patient May 10, 2017

Dr. Tashjian was fantastic.

UofU Patient May 07, 2017

FANTASTIC

UofU Patient May 01, 2017

He never seems in a hurry, even though he is probably running late.

UofU Patient April 27, 2017

Grateful for excellent care and ability to organize treatment team to address issues beyond shoulder injury. Team welcomes questions, listens well and responds with clarity and compassion. Easy to feel confident i'm receiving best care available.

UofU Patient April 21, 2017

Dr. TASHJIAN couldn't be more kind or caring.

UofU Patient April 13, 2017

during the experience, I felt like I was an wasting the doctor's time he seamed rushed.

UofU Patient April 09, 2017

The MA, resident and Dr Tashjian we're all very personable, listened, answered my questions and concerns

UofU Patient April 09, 2017

good

UofU Patient March 24, 2017

I did not feel rushed at all, he answered all my questions fully, the experience was very good

UofU Patient March 12, 2017

Outstanding appointment from ease of scheduling, through "processing" and appt w/ Dr. "T."

UofU Patient March 11, 2017

I was informed in detail about every aspect of my injury, the surgical procedure, and the recovery process. very much appreciated.

UofU Patient March 11, 2017

I was way impressed with Dr. Tash.... For a specialist he spent a good deal of time going over my issues and explaining it to me very well.

UofU Patient March 08, 2017

very personable

UofU Patient March 06, 2017

Dr Tashjin is very thorough

UofU Patient March 06, 2017

I would caution anyone I recommend that he is not usually an 'on-time' doc. However, the time he does spend the time needed with his patients to be thorough and caring. Perhaps he should only schedule 3 appts per hour instead of 4.

UofU Patient February 27, 2017

Excellent

UofU Patient February 27, 2017

Warm, present, competent.

UofU Patient February 23, 2017

Maybe they are scheduling too maybe people too close together. I have absolutely no complaints other than the wait. It seems like that is standard because the sign was a professionally made, ready to use sign saying how far behind they were

UofU Patient February 20, 2017

I have had two complete shoulder replacement surgeries done by Dr Tashjian. I researched shoulder surgeon for four years while living in Denver and after all that I knew I wanted Dr Tashjian. My choice has been amazing from what I have seen compared to other doctors and how everyone talks about him with the up most respect.

UofU Patient February 10, 2017

Dr. Tashjian is terrific! He treats me as if I am intelligent and answers my questions. It is such a relief to have a knowledgeable physician who also cares about my needs. He is a good guy!

UofU Patient February 08, 2017

I would have appreciated a printed plan of treatment. I forget conversations.

UofU Patient February 06, 2017

Dr. Tashjin is awesome. He totally went through what he repaired on my shoulder explaining things I wouldn't know otherwise. He did the same explanation to my family the day of my surgery. He told me that he'd explain things to me later as I probably wouldn't remember anyway. Very satisfied

UofU Patient February 06, 2017

Very personable and very thorough. Went away feeling very positive.

UofU Patient February 02, 2017

Have already recommended him & staff

UofU Patient January 30, 2017

I will continue to recommend Dr. Tashjian to anyone with a shoulder problem as he came highly recommended to me and has not let me down in any way.

UofU Patient January 30, 2017

Dr.Tashjian was very helpful he listened he examined me and he knew what was wrong with me.I've been trying to tell my doctor in Jackson these things he would not listen to me . So thank you

UofU Patient January 30, 2017

good

UofU Patient January 30, 2017

Dr. Tashjian made me feel better about what to expect from surgery.

UofU Patient January 01, 2017

I could not be more pleased with Dr. Tashjian's and his staffs competency and caring.

UofU Patient December 17, 2016

friendly

UofU Patient December 12, 2016

I really appreciate the provider fully explaining my options and giving me his honest opinion on how to proceed and giving me the ability to be part of my treatment plan.

UofU Patient December 09, 2016

Dr. Tashijan (Dr. TJ) is a truly champ in every way! I am so lucky to have him as my doctor - no LESS!!

UofU Patient December 01, 2016

Very thorough and courteous, explained things well and spent the time I needed to understand course of action. Always very patient.

UofU Patient November 27, 2016

Good Doc.

UofU Patient November 25, 2016

good

UofU Patient November 25, 2016

After I got home, I realized that I hadn't asked how long I needed to be off work and the care provider didn't mention anything about that. I'm a person of detail so I'm not sure what questions to ask and then realized I would have liked a little more explanation to help me understand my injury. I heard 'detached' but then realized I didn't know if it was the tendon or muscle. I can use mychart to ask these questions. I really have faith in Dr. Tashjin as he was a referral from my favorite Dr. Pelt.

UofU Patient November 20, 2016

Dr. Tashjian is a good guy!

UofU Patient November 09, 2016

Dr. Tashjian is amazing. Very compassionate and really knows his stuff! Very pleased.

UofU Patient November 09, 2016

Best Doc ever.

UofU Patient November 06, 2016

really appreciate time he took for possible explanations of numbness I am experiencing and in demonstrating new exercises

UofU Patient October 26, 2016

Very caring and responsive to questions and needs

UofU Patient October 23, 2016

good

UofU Patient October 21, 2016

The U of U should feel lucky to have someone this incredible talented and caring on the

UofU Patient October 18, 2016

Being 1hour behind is because he spends so much time with his patients Im told. It must be the other patients, because it certainly isnt me.

UofU Patient October 18, 2016

I was pleasantly surprised that given the number of patients seen in this clinic and by this physician, I didn't feel rushed through the system in any way.

UofU Patient October 07, 2016

Dr. Tashjian was patient as I asked questions. He also explained complex medical terms and procedures in a remarkably understandable manner. He was great at balancing not dumbing down material with making it understandable for an educated person not in the medical field. I very much appreciated his approach.

UofU Patient September 11, 2016

One of the best Shoulder Doctors in the world. He really care about his patients. We are lucky to have him in Utah.

UofU Patient September 04, 2016

The doctor came in and talked to us. after waiting an hour I felt like he was rushing out of there. I have been dealing with my problem for a long time and I felt that I was a minor inconvenience in his day.

UofU Patient August 28, 2016

good

UofU Patient August 26, 2016

great

UofU Patient August 23, 2016

Awesome doctor who has done an excellent job on my shoulder repair! Good guy too!

UofU Patient August 22, 2016

good

UofU Patient August 07, 2016

Dr Tashjian is truly gifted. He saved my shoulder.I doubt that many other doctors could have preformed a tendon transferthat would have such a good outcome. I am truly greatful. I have had to wait longer than I wanted to at some appointments but its only because he cares so much about his patients.

UofU Patient August 06, 2016

Dr. Tashjian is excellent!

UofU Patient July 31, 2016

efficient and professional

UofU Patient July 28, 2016

I already have recommended everyone involved.

UofU Patient July 24, 2016

I wish all physicians would take the time to explain what is going on with me as Dr. Tasjian. Left feeling I knew what the problem was and what I needed to do to keep problem from returning.

UofU Patient June 25, 2016

I have again made the very best choice available and had Dr. Tashjan replace my left shoulder. He did a superb job on my right shoulder. I always recommend him to others.

UofU Patient June 05, 2016

We have been so pleased with the care and expertise I have received at the Univ. of UT Orthopedic Center that we booked an appointment with another surgeon at the center for my husband!

UofU Patient June 02, 2016

Dr Tashjian spent much more time with me than I would have expected. He explained everything even with the X-rays and options for my treatment. He answered all of my questions and concerns. I left feeling confident that my treatment will be successful.

UofU Patient May 16, 2016

Dr Tashjain is an excellent Doctor he listens and takes all the time needed to explain my fears and concerns! I reinsured my rotator cuff twice after the surgery, Dr Tashjain was very patient with me and treated me with respect! I would highly recommend him to anyone!

UofU Patient May 08, 2016

Dr Tashjian is the best doctor ever - very understanding, caring and knowledgable

UofU Patient May 07, 2016

Dr. Tashain gave a very direct and honest assessment of my injury and the options. I don't know if his style would resonate with all patients but, for me, it was perfect.

UofU Patient May 06, 2016

Very good experience and I feel I was given full explanation about diagnosis and likely path of action.

UofU Patient May 03, 2016

the doctor was awesome and so sweet!

UofU Patient April 25, 2016

I've already shared Dr. Tashjian's name and great job with several possible patients.

UofU Patient April 22, 2016

Resident was great and Dr. Tashjian was great. I felt comfortable with him. He answered all my questions.

UofU Patient April 15, 2016

my doctor was extremely good

UofU Patient April 11, 2016

I felt Dr Tashjian was put out because my problem seemed to be in my neck and not my shoulder where the pain was felt. The demeanor that Dr Tashjian spoke to me standing with his arms crossed and me sitting down made me feel inferior and that I was wasting his time. He suggested a MRI if I was a worry wort, after the x-ray was inconclusive.

UofU Patient April 11, 2016

Dr Tashjian and his staff are awesome

UofU Patient April 09, 2016

my husband was (and is still) in excruciating pain. we were referred to Dr. Tashjin as the very best. I brought a cd of my husbands MRI and was told that they already had it, as it was done at the U of U Hospital. I did not get the impression from the fellow or the dr that it was looked at. I got the impression that they read the radiology notes. We had previously been told by an othopaedist that we trust that my husband needed a reverse shoulder replacement. I did not think the dr gave any thought to my husbands pain or the fact that he cannot use his arm. We were told that he has a little tendinitis and a shot of cortisone will do the trick. I am very over protective of my husband. he has been through chemo for 5 years, two parathyroidectomies, 6 of the 7 discs in his neck replaced, both elbows worked on, a heart attack, EOE, severe GI problems, his gallbladder removed, and a little condition called chronic cluster headaches. He is no stranger to pain. He does not exaggerate his conditions. He down plays them. So, when I take him to the best in Utah for his shoulder, I expect that he will not be treated like a silly man with a boo boo on his tendon.

UofU Patient April 09, 2016

I would definitely recommend this provider to people I know

UofU Patient April 08, 2016

outstanding as always

UofU Patient April 07, 2016

Dr. Tashijn was extremely through in explaining everything to me, I was very impressed at the amount of time he spent with me to assure that I understood my injury and the procedure to repair it. This is not common in this day and age, and it was very refreshing!

UofU Patient April 07, 2016

This Dr. is by far the best bed side manner I have ever encountered. He would basically asked himself every question I would have & plus some that I did not think & answer them before I could ask him a question. I think this is a great way to inform or handle a patient. I have already recommended this Dr. to others.

UofU Patient April 02, 2016

Every thing went smoothly

UofU Patient March 29, 2016

Extremely caring and knowledgable care I received with many questions and concerns over. NOT having surgery

UofU Patient March 28, 2016

Thank You Dr. Tashjian for making it so I can move my arms free of pain

UofU Patient March 26, 2016

One of the best docs I've ever seen for anything!

UofU Patient February 27, 2016

This staff rocks!!!

UofU Patient February 26, 2016

I was trying to get in with Dr. Burk due to a personal recommendation from a friend, but he was too booked out for me. If I hadn't liked Dr. Tashjian I would have made an appt. with Dr Burk, but I now feel totally confident and happy that Dr. Tashian will be working with me to do his part to repair my shoulder.

UofU Patient February 25, 2016

Dr T is excellent, phenomenal, and exemplary in every way!

UofU Patient February 17, 2016

Dr. Tashjian was very thorough and explained what was wrong with my shoulder in language I could understand. Very patient provider

UofU Patient February 12, 2016

Outstanding attention to all my questions. My previous surgeon had spent about 10 minutes with me. What a difference. With Dr. Tashjian I walked away with a clear understanding of what to expect and all my questions were addressed and discussed. Amazing service.

UofU Patient February 08, 2016

Great experience

UofU Patient February 06, 2016

I WOULD BE VERY LIKELY TO RECOMMEND THIS PROVIDER TO OTHERS.

UofU Patient January 30, 2016

AWESOME!

UofU Patient January 14, 2016

You may have to wait a while to see Dr. Tashjian but that is only because he cares so much about his patents.

UofU Patient January 14, 2016

I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Tashijan to anyone that I knew.

UofU Patient January 11, 2016

first visit---care yetr to be determined

UofU Patient December 14, 2015

Dr. Tashjian is one of the best doctors that I have had.

UofU Patient December 12, 2015

Dr. Tashjian and his team are exemplary, excellent in every way. Except for wait times, this has been a near perfect experience. THANK YOU.

UofU Patient November 23, 2015

Doctor took the time to explain present and future options, in a matter that I could understand.

UofU Patient October 31, 2015

Dr. Tashjian was great, I can't say the same for the resident who was working with him that day. He seemed annoyed and disinterested, he was abrupt and made me feel like I was wasting his time.

UofU Patient October 24, 2015

The care I received from Dr. Tashjian was EXCELLENT

UofU Patient October 19, 2015

all concerns were answered

UofU Patient October 09, 2015

the entire appt took 2 hours but I was very pleased with the care of the doctor.

UofU Patient September 15, 2015

the doctor was busy that day and was rushing to try to get caught up. it sort of felt like we were just a hindrance to him that day. we had traveled 7 hours to get there and had 7 hours to get back home and he was in the room about ten minutes.

UofU Patient September 12, 2015

My concerns were addressed, my questions answered, and I did not feel rushed.

UofU Patient September 02, 2015

Dr. Tashjian has always been very pleasant... I appreciate the injections that he gives for my shoulder.....Works like a charm.....Dr. Tashjian also gives injection w/ ease & minimal amount of discomfort......Thank You so very much for helping me......

UofU Patient August 31, 2015

was not informed of the negative impact of cortisone shots on blood sugar. it spiked from about 130 to 300.

UofU Patient August 31, 2015

Dr Tasjian is excellent, thorough, provides detailed explanations and allows time for questions.

UofU Patient August 25, 2015

Dr Tashjian is one of the best doctors I have ever been to. He is attentive, explains things well, does not appear rushed. Answers everything I ask and acts like my questions and comments are important. He is very patient and thorough. He gives you his time and listens to what you have to say. He checks you and explains everything and answers every question you have.

UofU Patient August 14, 2015

Dr Tasjian provided an excellent review of the data regarding shoulder/rotator cuff repairs, and provided more than adequate time for my questions. His answers were thorough and detailed and left me with a complete sense of trust in his opinion.

UofU Patient August 12, 2015

Dr Tashjian has always been straight - forward regarding all treatments and hopes for a good outcome. He explains things easily using terminology that is understandable. He is patient and caring. I would recommend him without hesitation.

UofU Patient August 11, 2015

I appreciate the availability of Dr T. for an urgently needed second opinion. Very valued advice was so helpful for my emergency needs

UofU Patient August 07, 2015

I went to Dr. Tashjian thinking he would give me a referral to have someone else give me a cortisone shot in my shoulder. I was pleased that he gave me the injection in both my shoulders and I was out of his office in very good time.

UofU Patient August 07, 2015

I live in Denver, Co. The accident that caused my shoulder treatment needed happened in Saratoga springs. I came back to Salt Lake instead of finding a doctor in Denver, because of feeling good about the treatment received in Salt Lake.

UofU Patient August 03, 2015

Dr Tashjian detailed all my supposed questions without me asking any. I left very confident that he will doing an excellent surgery. Great experience and worth the wait.

UofU Patient August 03, 2015

I COULDN'T ASK FOR A BETTER DR. THAN DR. TASHIJAN.

UofU Patient July 22, 2015

There's always a wait to see Dr. Tashjian, but I feel like it's worth it. He never shortchanges me on time, and I know that I will have his full attention.

UofU Patient July 14, 2015

I have a great deal of confidence in my care provider, and I am very pleased in which he has ytaken care of me and my needs.

UofU Patient June 24, 2015

Dr Tashjian was extremely professional as was his staff. They gave me a cortisone shot hoping it would relieve the pain in my underarm under my right shoulder. It did for just 2 days. I did a lot of work Saturday because I felt good, but Sunday the pain was unbearable again. It's very painful when I am sitting down and not moving. I have cancelled my 2nd appointment because I feel like I need to go another route to solve the problem.

UofU Patient June 20, 2015

very good experience

UofU Patient June 16, 2015

he is one of the best doctors I have dealt with

UofU Patient June 11, 2015

resident was wonderful as was the orthopedic surgeon

UofU Patient June 11, 2015

I can't provide accurate enough words about Dr. Tashjian except to say that I feel totally blessed to have met him and that he agreed to be my doctor. I am totally confident in his ability and qualifications as a doctor to know he will give the the absolute best care he possibly can. He listened to me, answered all my questions, was more than informative and treated me as a person and not a case. I feel I am in excellent hands and just can't say enough great things overall except thank you Dr. Tashjian!

UofU Patient June 11, 2015

Dr T did an awesome job replacing a BAD MESS!

UofU Patient June 10, 2015

Dr. Tashjian understood my desire to totally get my right shoulder strength back and not be satisfied without strengthening through physical therapy.

UofU Patient May 23, 2015

I've already suggested Dr. Tashjian to people contemplating shoulder suregery.

UofU Patient May 19, 2015

His care, skill, and concern were extraordinary

UofU Patient May 13, 2015

I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND DR. TASHIJAN TO EVERYONE HE IS AN WONDERFUL CARING DOCTOR, AND WANTS TO TO DO WHAT IS BEST FOR EACH PATIENT.

UofU Patient May 04, 2015

I talk about Dr. Tashjean all the time with friends who might have to get the same surgery

UofU Patient April 25, 2015

DR. TASHIJHAN IS A VERY THROUGHAL CONSIDERATE DOCTOR, AND I HAVE ALOT OF TRUST AND FAITH IN HIM DOING AND TAKING CARE OF ME.

UofU Patient April 25, 2015

Very good

UofU Patient April 20, 2015

No hesitations about recommending Dr. Tashjian to others. Even though provider was delayed 60 minutes I never felt that our visit was rushed or hurried. I wish I would have known/and know ahead of time what pain to expect as post-surgical time increases and use increases since right shoulder total replacement.

UofU Patient April 18, 2015

Love him! He knows his stuff for the most part and if he doesn't know, he does the needed research to know what needs to be done since I have a rare disease

UofU Patient April 07, 2015

Dr Tashjian was very helpful in getting a surgery date ASAP and making me feel good about the proceedure he would be doing. I feel very confident he will do the very best possible for me and for anyone I recommend him to

UofU Patient April 07, 2015

After the exam Dr Tashjian was very straight forward about the possibility my shoulder injury being permanent and what may have been the correlation with a previous neck injury. The Doctor explained my current and future options in terms I could understand.

UofU Patient March 23, 2015

Dr. Tashjian is very patient in explaining everything in terms I can understand. In-office exercises for my shoulder replacement have made recovery and use of my shoulder again very smooth.

UofU Patient March 21, 2015

Dr. Tashian rocks!

UofU Patient March 17, 2015

The provider really didn't have anything of value to tell me at this visit. He had the assistant book me another appointment, which I feel is a waste of my time at this point.

UofU Patient March 16, 2015

I would have spent a little more time with Dr. T. if I hadn't been running so late already. I have additional questions I would have asked but there was no longer time for more than a quick review.

UofU Patient March 14, 2015

Dr. Tashijan is the best

UofU Patient March 14, 2015

very concerned and answered all questions

UofU Patient March 08, 2015

Very thorough and thoughtful explanation of care plan. I have the utmost confidence in Dr. Tashjian's medical decision making abilities.

UofU Patient March 03, 2015

I don't mind waiting for Dr. T bc I know he will spend enough time with me to answer all questions and explain everything fully. He probably runs late bc he does that with all his patients.

UofU Patient March 02, 2015

It seemed like I was a bother for him to look see me that day. Very little eye contact and a lot of long, deep sighs. Once we decided what to do (which we should have done the first appointment), it appeared as though he was late to another appointment and got things done quickly and got out of there.

UofU Patient February 24, 2015

(As expected & why I chose Dr. T), OUTSTANDING in every regard.

UofU Patient February 23, 2015

Wish medications were discussed as I'm not too crazy about staying on ASA.

UofU Patient February 19, 2015

Had to ask the Dr. to explain some of his explanation in my language not his. Some was over my head.

UofU Patient February 09, 2015

I was very pleased at the doctor's concern and reassured by his explanation of the extent of my injury and satisfaction at the progress I have made thus far to regain strength.

UofU Patient February 09, 2015

I (heart) Dr. Tashjian < 3

UofU Patient January 28, 2015

I am quite satisfied with my care and follow-up.

UofU Patient January 26, 2015

good

UofU Patient January 26, 2015

Patients should be given written material about the procedures they are committing to, what to expect pre and post surgery, etc. Dr. T explained everything well, but once the word "surgery" is uttered, it's hard to concentrate on the details and remember even a fraction of what is said. This is big, life-altering news for a patient! Barring any written hospital info, I just went home and googled everything. It would have been way better to get accurate written info straight from the doc or hospital.

UofU Patient January 24, 2015

wonderful, caring doctor and staff

UofU Patient January 14, 2015

I LOVE Dr. Tasjian and feel he is probably the best shoulder surgeon in the state. However, the facility (both exam and surgical) are not up to the level of experience I would feel comfortable recommending to others.

UofU Patient January 08, 2015

Extremely happy with the care I have received at the University Ortho Center. I have complete trust in Dr. Tashian.

UofU Patient January 03, 2015

Dr. Tashjan is just great! I intend to have him replace my other shoulder later in 2015. I DO recommend him to people I encounter with shoulder problems.

UofU Patient January 03, 2015

Dr. Tashjian is very easy to talk to... I told him the best thing he advised was "not to overdo it." He must have percieved I was eager to heal and get on with my life, but I trusted him and was careful and patient and my rotator cuff surgery was a real big success. Thank you Dr. Tashjian for your sensitivity!

UofU Patient January 02, 2015

The Doctor is excellent!

UofU Patient December 21, 2014

Dr. T spent an extraordinary amount of time with my wife and myself discussing the upcoming surgery and options.

UofU Patient December 21, 2014

My experience getting my shoulder replaced has been phenominal! Little or no pain throughout the entire six weeks including right after surgery, and my arm is already feeling like new. I plan on having my other shoulder and both knees replaced at your hospital as soon as possible. Dr. Tashian and your staff are wonderful!!! It has definitely been worth driving all the way from Pleasant Grove to your hospital.

UofU Patient December 19, 2014

I have already recommended Dr. Tashjan to others. I intend to have him replace my other shoulder in 2015. I would NOT consider changing physicians.

UofU Patient December 17, 2014

I would recommend your facility and the doctor who provided the surgery to anyone. It was the best situation I could have asked for.

UofU Patient December 15, 2014

Dr. Tashjian answered all of my questions and concerns kindly.

UofU Patient December 15, 2014

Everything went very well.

UofU Patient December 12, 2014

He was superb -- as always. I have already recommended him to others.

UofU Patient December 06, 2014

outstanding as usual

UofU Patient December 05, 2014

Dr. Tashjian is very understanding and I appreciate his thoroughness. I feel very confident in him to make me feel better.

UofU Patient November 24, 2014

he is abobsuility great!

UofU Patient November 23, 2014

I had an outstanding experience as far as my shoulder replacement was concerned. Everything went perfectly. I will definitely be back again for further surgery on other joints.

UofU Patient November 11, 2014

Dr. Tashjian answers all my questions and never seems to be in a rush to move on to the next patient. I always feel completely satisfied after my appointment. There are no unanswered question, doubts, or confusion.

UofU Patient November 10, 2014

Dr. Tashijian is the best; he described in great detail the procedure, outcome, challenges and my recovery. I felt like he really cares about me as an individual patient and even though he has many, many patients, when he's with me, I'm his focus.

UofU Patient November 09, 2014

I have already recommended him to my primary care doc for her mother's shoulder problems. I have full confidence in Dr. Tashjian and his staff. I so appreciate their concern and quick action on my behalf.

UofU Patient November 07, 2014

good

UofU Patient October 18, 2014

He did everything he could make me feel at ease

UofU Patient October 17, 2014

Felt a bit rushed today. Although I was happy to hear he thought I was "healed" but a bit surprised that he said no more PT. I am tired of all the PT, but I also don't feel completely done. This hit me more after I left and went to my "last" PT session. My PT thought it was a bit soon also. But helped me with my home exercises to keep working on.

UofU Patient October 13, 2014

Everything was great except for having to wait so long at the end of the day. I appreciated the fact I was one of the pts creating delays at the beginning, having been worked into the schedule the day of my accident, but 90 minutes was a very long delay.

UofU Patient October 05, 2014

extraordinary clinician and individual

UofU Patient October 04, 2014

Dr. Tashjian was awesome! I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of time he spent with me and how thoroughly he explained my options. I wish all doctors had the wonderful ethics and honesty that Dr.T. has. Thus far, I think he's what every doctor should be. Please thank him for me.

UofU Patient September 27, 2014

I have had a very positive experience overall and feel good about my recovery

UofU Patient September 14, 2014

Over all, it was a time well spent for me.

UofU Patient September 12, 2014

Good coordination

UofU Patient September 03, 2014

I was refered to a psyiatrist and was instead scheduled with an orthopedic surgeon. I am sure he was the best qualified for evaluating my shoulder but I had other nuerological questions so I was disappointed. He did refer me to two other doctors but I feel that could have been avoided.

UofU Patient August 30, 2014

I believe I have the best outcome possible considering my problem.

UofU Patient August 29, 2014

Dr. Tashjian took time to answer all of my questions in detail. I left fully informed.

UofU Patient August 10, 2014

Doctor is a first rate physician and I have absolute confidence in him

UofU Patient August 08, 2014

good

UofU Patient August 08, 2014

EVERYONE IS SO FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. ALWAYS SMILING

UofU Patient August 07, 2014

Dr. Tashjian MD as well as the Resident seemed to be open minded to my approach to my condition (Complementary Methods) Thank you very much.

UofU Patient August 06, 2014

I would refer Dr. Tashjian to a friend.

UofU Patient August 03, 2014

Although, it was two hours before the appointment was finished, Dr. Tashijan explained extremely well and I have full confidence that I have made the best possible choice, but choosing him for my shoulder replacement surgery.

UofU Patient July 18, 2014

This was a scheduled follow-up visit 3 mos post op. No medications were involved. This was a check-up and to provide coordination with physical therapy.

UofU Patient July 18, 2014

I was extremely pleased with Dr. Tashijan. He was obviously well educated, caring, experienced and an expert in shoulder surgery. I especially liked the fact that he had done 150 total shoulder replacements last year. I fully intend to have him replace both of my shoulders. I was impressed with his connection with the French company that makes some of the devices he uses & especially the computer program he is using in connection with them.

UofU Patient July 13, 2014

I have been dealing with a shoulder injury for the past right months. I just recently started seeing Dr. Tashjian. He has been wonderful. He is able to clearly explain what he believes is going on with my shoulder but still take into full consideration the amount of pain I am in and my opinions when coming up with a game plan. He is very easy to understand and empathetic. I trust his directives and know I'm in good hands.

UofU Patient July 07, 2014

I clearly came at a busy time and the doctor was running 60 minutes late. However, I literally spent 2 minutes with the doctor in office and did, for the first time ever, that I was more an inconvenience being fit in between things

UofU Patient June 29, 2014

I've already recommended him to others. When I meet someone in the nursing facility where I volunteer who has had him as their surgeon, I tell them how lucky they are because they've had the best.

UofU Patient June 27, 2014

Very reassuring and accommodating to my circumstances.

UofU Patient June 26, 2014

great doctor

UofU Patient June 26, 2014

My appointment was not a routine follow up at 2 or 6 weeks, so we had a laugh when Dr. Tashjian double checked to see if I was there for a six week follow-up. We were actually having a special meeting to allow him to give me PT exercises for my return to Texas at 10 weeks. He quickly remembered the program of PT I had been on and gave me the script I would need as well as good advice as how to resume my swimming program. I have learned so much from both him and my physical therapist, Dave Larson, about how to manage my needs to push my recovery faster against my desire to progress at a pace appropriate to my surgery. Restraint is not a trait that is easy to acquire when you are eager to resume your normal activities, but I have learned it and am managing much more wisely than in the past, thanks to their experience.

UofU Patient June 16, 2014

All very good. Had staples from surgery removed, given new exercises and to return in 4 weeks.

UofU Patient June 15, 2014

I was impressed with the doctor's understanding of my problem, as well as his recommendations and advice for me to consider in the future. I was reassured by his "bedside" manner!

UofU Patient June 09, 2014

Glad to finally have a Dr that knew what I was talking about when I described the pain

UofU Patient June 06, 2014

Despite his heavy schedule, Dr Tasjian is always calm, friendly and professional without being stiff or formal. He inspires confidence. I am very happy with the whole surgery experience.

UofU Patient June 01, 2014

Discussing my upcoming surgery with Dr. Tashjian gave me confidence in his knowledge and ability.

UofU Patient May 31, 2014

Due to my spinal cord injuries, i am not a normal patient. I was very concerned the Dr. would not take into consideration the great amount of additional mobility problems that are so far beyond my control and understanding that change daily without surgery than what I am up against after shoulder surgery. However he did understand and explain and have many additional options I needed to hear, which helped me so much and gave me a better perspective regarding a better quality of life I need once I get this surgery and healing process done over with. Words cannot describe how thankful I was for his professional knowledge, concern for my future health and happiness. And understanding how this shoulder problem contributes to indescribable pain suffering weakness right along with all the other experiences that come with a c3 c4 spinal cord injury. I wish I could have another doctor like him who could see and have answers needed for the many other pains and mobility issues I am faced with on a daily basis.

UofU Patient May 11, 2014

I am so grateful to have been assigned Dr. Tashjian as my surgeon through the emergency room! I have been totally confident in his knowledge base (great to find research contributions he has made on my particular form or shoulder replacement on-line), remarkable skills replacing my shoulder (the surgery and recovery process couldn't have gone any better!), and the evidence that truly helping people is important and a priority for him (as you would hope every doctor could sustain - assuming this was the reason for choosing this field). I don't know what more one could ask!! Thank you Dr. Tashjian!!!

UofU Patient May 09, 2014

Excellent

UofU Patient May 08, 2014

Dr. Tashjian always explains my care and makes certain I understand.

UofU Patient April 23, 2014

good

UofU Patient April 20, 2014

This was a routine followup visit after surgery to remove stitches, to show me the photos from the surgery and to arrange for PT visits to begin. All went smoothly and quickly.

UofU Patient April 20, 2014

I always manage to somehow fall into terrific groups of doctors and their assistants, ones who care about me, treat me as the intelligent person i am and give me sensitive care. Well, i did it again

UofU Patient April 19, 2014

Very good

UofU Patient April 11, 2014

I have been impressed with the office staff, nurses, interns and, especially the doctor. I would strongly recommend that anyone with the same problems as my own to go there.

UofU Patient April 04, 2014

Dr. Tashjian is knowledgeable and to the point. He always comes into the room fully up to date and well informed about the outcome of visits with the referral he made before. He wastes no time, is straight forward and answers questions you have in a plain and direct manner. I would highly recommend Dr. Tashjian to anybody who appreciates an intelligent, skilled and honest doctor. Don't see him if you like listening to fairy tales or being entertained. He is focused on your problem and finding a solution. Visits with him are about the quality, not quantity of time spent.

UofU Patient March 30, 2014

Dr. Tashjian took thirty five minutes to carefully and patiently explain the procedures he was planning for my rotator cuff surgery, plus possible variations I could exercise if I chose, and the prognosis for recovery as well as the reasons for the after surgery procedures. He answered all our questions completely and thoroughly and responded very well to a couple of concerns I had from former experiences about medication and an overnight stay. He gave me great confidence and reassurance.

UofU Patient March 24, 2014

I am very impressed with the services provided to me by my doctor, his Interns, the nurses and the staff. I've had two surgeries there this year (Sept. R shoulder and February L shoulder). In both stays at the Orthopedic Center I've been served with kindness and efficiency. I will recommend their service without any hesitation.

UofU Patient March 02, 2014

Dr. Tashjian was very friendly, helpful and impressive.

UofU Patient February 23, 2014

I think the entire staff was terrific.

UofU Patient February 17, 2014

Provider did not provide enough specific information on what to do or avoid during recovery.

UofU Patient February 14, 2014

100% to all above. I could not be any more satisfied.

UofU Patient February 09, 2014

Dr. Tashjian has not given up on me after 1.5yrs of unsolved 'mysteries', provided me with excellent references for specialists and worked in team with them, with finally seems to lead to the bginning of finally having found the start to a solution of a complex cluster of issues

UofU Patient February 09, 2014

good

UofU Patient February 08, 2014

The doctor and student doctor that came in before him both made me feel unimportant, that my pain and problem were insignificant and that I was wasting their time. I felt like I was dirt to them.

UofU Patient February 03, 2014

Dr. T fixed me once before. I had no doubts about returning to him on this second injury.

UofU Patient January 27, 2014

We have had numerous recommendations regarding Dr. Tashjian, his medical knowledge, and skills. i am happy to have him do my surgery.

UofU Patient January 24, 2014

The Dr. is amazing. He made sure that my son understood his injuries and the choices that he had to fix them. He was very good at including my son in the conversation which really helped and at 15 made him feel like he had a choice in his treatment. This is important for a teenager.

UofU Patient January 15, 2014

Dr. Tashjian went through the imaging with me, I appreciate that. He is exhibits compassion while still being professional and direct about my shoulder. He explains the recommended treatment. I feel that I can discuss concerns without being judged.

UofU Patient January 09, 2014

I had a wonderful experience with all the care providers. I was amazed at the quality of care from doctors, nurses and aides. I felt well taken care of and protected throughout my stay. I need another procedure on the other arm, and am already scheduled to have it done here.

UofU Patient December 11, 2013

The Dr. took the time to have radiologist review my MRI in addition to himself. He also met with my first surgeon to get a better understanding of the procedure done before.

UofU Patient December 06, 2013

I saw the health care provider for 8.5 minutes

UofU Patient November 11, 2013

I am very pleased with the progress and his honest answers.

UofU Patient November 08, 2013

Very impressed with the doctor and staff

UofU Patient November 04, 2013

concerned, caring

UofU Patient November 04, 2013

This is Dr. Tashjean strength, he is very professional, informs and listens and spends time with patients if necessary!

UofU Patient November 03, 2013

Very excellent & thorough; exactly what we needed for 2nd Opinion.

UofU Patient November 01, 2013

Dr. Robert Tashjian is a wonderful person and very dedicated to his practice. I would definitely recommend Dr. Tashjian. He is the best surgeon for shoulder and elbow surgery.

UofU Patient October 25, 2013

Dr. Tashjain took on the care of my 17 yr. old son with severe shoulder problems in January of this year. We have seen him (Dr. Tashjain) go "above and beyond" great with his care and concern for my son and the treatment of his shoulder problems. Where some specialists we have seen for this problem were more concerned about the unique circumstances regarding my son's injury than the actual injury/current problems than they were about looking closer at the problem and finding a way to repair it. We will be forever grateful to Dr. Tashjain, thank you...

UofU Patient September 10, 2013

Dr. Tashjian and his assts were all very easy to communicate with.

UofU Patient September 09, 2013

Dr. Tashjian was caring and thoughtful. He answered completely all the questions I could think of and provided guidance for my ongoing care. The rest of the staff made me feel as though I was their ONLY patient.

UofU Patient September 04, 2013

Frozen shoulder during the pec tear recovery has been tough, but I know Dr. T and his team are taking great care of me. It feels wonderful to be this confident in a care provider.

UofU Patient September 02, 2013

The doctor was very aware and considerate of my concerns and needs. He explained thinigs to me and put my mind at ease about procedure of injections to be done. I honestly have never been unhappy with any of my doctors who are part of the University Health Care groups. I feel confident that all of them are compentant and caring professionals.

UofU Patient September 02, 2013

He has improved my arm use from very poor to excellent!! I am very satisfied with the results of the surgery!! I will sing praises the rest of my life.

UofU Patient August 20, 2013

dr T is absolutely terrific and helpful

UofU Patient August 13, 2013

Really liked Dr. Tajian, would recommend him highly.

UofU Patient August 07, 2013

Both the medical student and doctor were very thorough and clear to understand! They also listened, listening is an amazing thing, there was gret mutual respect!

UofU Patient July 22, 2013

Dr. Tashjian answered all my questions and never seems to be in a rush to move on to the next patient. I have complete trust in Dr. Tashjian's evaluation and plan for treatment. We have fun talking about my life, and had a few laughs. I enjoyed that.

UofU Patient July 22, 2013

Dr. Tashjian and his staff were awesome. On my first exam with him, he spent more time to find out what was wrong and set a plan of action than my previous Dr. spent with me over a 6 mos. period of time.

UofU Patient July 22, 2013

Dr. Tashjian is great, he takes the time to answer my questions and get's me excited about making more progress as this slow healing process moves forward.

UofU Patient July 15, 2013

Maybe instructions could be written down since they are hard to remember like recovery time and what you should do and expect.

UofU Patient July 15, 2013

Like the Dr and think he is an awesome clinician, but really dislike the huge wait times. even when I schedule 1 appt of the day. Was there for 1 hour 15 min to see him for 10 min. This has been an ongoing issue for the past year every time I see him. Maybe different scheduling practices need to be examined.

UofU Patient July 09, 2013

It's refreshing that everyone makes sure you understand everything, if not they are more than willing to take the time to explain.

UofU Patient June 24, 2013

terrific md...staff...and organization

UofU Patient June 16, 2013

Dr. Tashjian has been excellent overall. He hasn't operated yet, but will in the next two weeks. He's always been friendly and thorough with explaining his plans and intentions. Sometimes his vocabulary is too technical, but if asked, he's always clarified using terms I understand.

UofU Patient June 10, 2013

Dr. Tashjian is the best!

UofU Patient June 10, 2013

I had a list of questions & he made sure we covered them all.

UofU Patient June 10, 2013

It is always a pleasure seeing Dr. Tashjian.

UofU Patient June 04, 2013

Dr Tashjian exceeded all of my expectations, I feel very lucky to have found him in such a short period of time for such an unusual injury. Dr Tashjian made me feel very confident in his ability to handle my pec tear and while I am only 2 weeks out of surgery I am feeling pretty good, and feel like I am in great hands. Wonderful doctor that I completely trust, not something I say everyday.

UofU Patient May 25, 2013

simply can't say enough good about dr T and the staff...wonderful in every way

UofU Patient May 20, 2013

Already recommended him to two people who are thinking about having their shoulders repaired.

UofU Patient May 16, 2013

VERY GOOD

UofU Patient May 13, 2013

Excellent experience. I have good confidence in Dr Tashjian

UofU Patient May 06, 2013

Dr. Tashjian was great to work with and took the time necessary to explain my options and post-operative care. He also did a wonderful job on repairing my tendon. Thanks so much!

UofU Patient April 29, 2013

With 3 doctors in the room it was difficult to have my opinion heard. I wanted a more aggressive diagnosis since I have already seen several doctors for my medical issue.

UofU Patient April 05, 2013

Dr. Tashjian is the best, he performed both off my elbow surgeries. He explained the procedures in a way that made me feel relaxed and confident that things would go well.

UofU Patient April 01, 2013

Dr. Tashjian is one of the most wonderful physicians from whom I have received care. I recommend him without hesitation and am very thankful he is my surgeon.

UofU Patient April 01, 2013

Dr. Tashjian is the best! While the wait times are long, Dr. Tashjian is worth it.

UofU Patient March 18, 2013

Felt Like I picked the right doctor for this problem, so far.

UofU Patient March 08, 2013

good experience

UofU Patient March 04, 2013

The doctor has a good "bed-side manner" and a kind demeaner.

UofU Patient March 04, 2013

Given a choice I will not return to this clinic

UofU Patient February 25, 2013

I had no problems with the health services and care of the providers. It was the appointment process and communications where I experienced the problems

UofU Patient February 18, 2013

I was very impressed with his confidence and experience, even with such a rare issue as mine

UofU Patient February 18, 2013

Even though appointments were behind schedule the Dr didn't try to rush thru the visit, he took time to make sure all our questions and concerns were answered.

UofU Patient February 18, 2013

No need to say more.

UofU Patient January 21, 2013

Impressed with the doctor's willingness to answer any questions or concerns I had, as well as his assistant's time in assessing my shoulder concern.

UofU Patient January 08, 2013

I have already recommended Dr. Tashjian to others...

UofU Patient December 03, 2012

It was me that didn't clarify my meds, not the Dr. Will call today and make sure all are listed.

UofU Patient November 22, 2012

clear explanations, informative and reasuring

UofU Patient November 20, 2012

I have always felt confident that my care has been professional, personalized to my needs and extremely competent.

UofU Patient October 29, 2012

Dr T. is great.

UofU Patient October 22, 2012

dr T is outstanding!

UofU Patient October 09, 2012

Dr. Tashjian & his staff, are the first, in all my health care - to be so "patient friendly" ..everything matters to them

UofU Patient October 01, 2012

My dad is a nurse so I bring him with me so that I can understand what my surgeon is telling me. He gets pretty technical at times but I don't mind because he provided excellent care.

UofU Patient September 24, 2012

Felt very confident getting best of care..

UofU Patient August 20, 2012

really happy with the care received

UofU Patient August 20, 2012

Dr. Tashian was very clear in communicating with me.

UofU Patient August 14, 2012

Dr. Tashjian was very thorough in explaining my post surgery therapy/exercises.

UofU Patient August 13, 2012

Again, how fortunate I feel to have been see by Dr. Tashjian - he & his staff are WAY above board

UofU Patient August 07, 2012

very curtious and kind

UofU Patient July 31, 2012

Dr. Tashjian took all the time I needed to answer my questions and address my concerns. He is so kind and caring. Thank you!

UofU Patient July 31, 2012

The change in his schedule has decreased the waiting time. Thank you for considering my time in adjusting your schedule.

UofU Patient July 16, 2012

This visit was about a study of a past injury, and about the successof the initial procedure.

UofU Patient June 18, 2012

Excellent knowledge

UofU Patient June 04, 2012

Excellent communication with the DR.

UofU Patient May 11, 2012

stellar, I am one of the lucky ones.

UofU Patient May 02, 2012

Dr. Tashjan made me feel I was in good hands and talked about my previous treatment and what to expect with this additional treatment and in the future

UofU Patient May 02, 2012

Trying to understand what I can do and cannot do after surgery was a bit confusing as it was given so quickly. I know the doctor will go over it again, but printed out instructions that I can read would be nice.

UofU Patient April 27, 2012

i already have recommendedDr. Tashjian to 2 others

UofU Patient April 27, 2012

Good Job.

UofU Patient April 20, 2012

Doctor Tashjian spent a fair amount of time with me and left my mind at ease. I am pleased that I don't need surgery at this time. His treatment helped. I went home feeling that my welfare was his real concern.

UofU Patient April 11, 2012

Dr. Tashjian is an excellent physician and very friendly, communicative and helpful. I would recommend him highly for shoulder issues.

UofU Patient April 04, 2012

I was very impressed with the care and concern given to me.

UofU Patient April 04, 2012

very thorough, explanations excellent and understable

UofU Patient March 28, 2012

in all ways top of class

UofU Patient March 16, 2012

dr tjasain needs some clones.

UofU Patient March 09, 2012

Good Job.

UofU Patient March 09, 2012

Dr. Tashjian was very good.

UofU Patient March 09, 2012

all around a terific experience

UofU Patient March 02, 2012

I've appreciated that Dr. Tashjian very much has included me in decisions along the way and over the course of 4(?) appointments has taken plenty of time to discuss my situation and various options. I feel very comfortable proceeding with surgery with him because he has been very thoughtful about the decision to do surgery and encouraged me to do the same.

UofU Patient March 02, 2012

My care provider was everything that I wanted and needed, my experience was beyond excellent it was exceptional. This is what health care should be.

UofU Patient February 22, 2012

This is the 3rd or 4th one of these I've received in the past few months. It is becoming annoying and redundant. I continue to have the highest regard for Dr. Tashjian and his staff - that will not change. Should you want specific replies and more redundancy to your questions, please refer to my past completed surveys

UofU Patient February 17, 2012

top draw in all regards

UofU Patient February 17, 2012

After waiting so long I felt like they were making up for being so far behind, and they rushed me through my exam and appointment, a bit.

UofU Patient January 20, 2012

I have a high regard for Dr. Tashjian as he always take great care to listen and respond appropriately. He takes the time to fully explain the issues and questions I have.

UofU Patient January 06, 2012

terrific experience, professional and helpful
