Paige Nelson is a board certified physician assistant on the inpatient Supportive Oncology and Survivorship team at the Huntsman Cancer Hospital. She graduated summa cum laude from Weber State University with a Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management. She realized after working in administration for a year that clinical practice would be a much better fit for her interests and decided to pursue a career as PA. Paige attended Midwestern University in Phoenix, AZ where she obtained a Master of Medical Sciences degree in Physician Assistant Studies. She worked for several years in outpatient internal medicine in Phoenix before deciding to return to the great state of Utah where she grew up. Joining the Huntsman Cancer Hospital as a palliative care provider allows her to connect with patients on a personal level and learn what is important to them in order to provide them and their families with the best possible care. When not working Paige enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, camping, walking her dog Stella, and spending time with family and friends.
