Bio

Allison Ellzey, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah School of Medicine and is on staff at Primary Children’s Medical Center. She is a general pediatrician who sees infants, children, and adolescents the University Pediatric Clinic and in the Comprehensive Care Clinic for medically complex children. She also teaches medical students and pediatric residents in clinic. Her interests include care for children with disabilities, underserved populations, childhood obesity, and pediatric mental health. Dr. Ellzey speaks Spanish and welcomes Spanish-speaking patients into her practice.

Academic Bio

Allison Ellzey, M.D., received her undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi and her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. She completed her pediatrics residency at the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Medical Center. After residency, she practiced for one year at a federally qualified community health center prior to returning to the University of Utah in 2012.

Dr. Ellzey currently sees patients in the University Pediatric Clinic and in the Comprehensive Care Clinic for medically complex children. In both programs she teaches residents and medical students. Her academic interests include quality of life for children with disabilities and their families, linguistic and cultural competency, underserved populations, and mental health care in the primary care setting. She is currently a trainee in the Utah Regional Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities program.
