I am so happy with the care I have received. I still have a ways to go until I am fully recovered from my surgery but I feel so much better already. I can't thank you enough for everything from the first consultation, through the surgery and now the follow up visits. And everyone has been fantastic!

Dr Mazur is at the pinnacle of his profession. Supremely prepared and knowledgeable regarding the most current surgical trends. He Is also young and dexterous enough to carry them out with precision. His team works with equal precision by responding with concise information within minutes of my submitting a "MyChart" question He seemed genuinely concerned as I progressed through the healing process. He took the time to answer all of my questions and reassure me with honest assessment as I was choosing to proceed with the back surgery Most significantly, the procedure was successful and the pain we sought to alleviate has never returned

Dr mazur is exceptional. We are so grateful for his care and expertise. In addition, he treated my husband and I with the compassion and kindness so often missing in a large clinical setting. He discussed all treatment options thoroughly with pros and cons and facilitated our making an informed decision. We never felt rushed or pressured in our conversations with dr mazur. He and his team of residents, fellows and nurses were always great to listen and respond to our concerns. This level of care, both clinical and personal, is what keeps us devoted to receiving all our healthcare from the University system. Thank you.

I found Dr. Mazur to be abrupt and it seemed to me that he felt I was wasting his time. I had asked for an over the phone explanation of the MRI results and was told that he wanted to meet me in person to discuss them. Then when I saw him his first question, asked almost with a snark, was "Why are you here?"

Dr Mazur took the time to go over X-ray's,CT scan, MRI, explained well my lumbar anatomy and problems. I was seeking a surgical consultation, if there would be any benefit. He took the time to explain any possible procedures, answer my questions. I liked that he wasn't pushing surgery and would be best to keep continuing with the treatments I was receiving through my pain Dr. He made a couple of suggestions to follow through on with my primary care physician. it was just nice to have a neurosurgeon go over my MRI, etc and explain everything gave me some peace of mind.

I left feeling very frustrated with no encouraging path forward with my pain or back problem. I basically felt like the doctor said, " Can't help you. Oh well." I don't know where to go from here. He said if I wanted I could go up to the U for a contrast dye test, but he didn't seem to feel it would show anything he didn't already see; spinal stenosis, herniated disks, arthritis, degenerative disk disease. I was in tears when I left.
