Reema Padia, MD

Reema Padia, MD is an Associate Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Hospital. She is board-certified in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and Complex Pediatric Otolaryngology. Dr. Padia is the Director of the Vascular Anomalies Center at Primary Children's Hospital and Fellowship Director for Pediatric Otolaryngology. She specializes in vascular anomalies and aerodigestive disorders alongside general pediatric otolaryngology.

Her clinical practice includes the vascular anomalies center and aerodigestive center along with general pediatric otolaryngology at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City and Lehi. She serves as a leader on the National Vascular Anomalies Task Force and has been an invited to speak on panels to discuss the treatment of aerodigestive disorders and vascular anomalies at national meetings. Her research interests include dissecting the genetic make-up of lymphatic malformations and understanding the role of laryngeal cleft intervention in patients with swallowing disorders.

She was born and raised in North Carolina and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. She earned her medical degree at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University before completing her otolaryngology residency at the University of Utah. She completed her pediatric otolaryngology fellowship at the University of Washington Seattle Children’s Hospital where she gained expertise in the treatment of patients with vascular anomalies and aerodigestive disorders. She served as the surgical director of the vascular anomalies center at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and was a member of the aerodigestive team there prior to joining as faculty at the University of Utah.
