I realized after reading the notes that doctor was thinking to have me take 2 TBLS metamucil daily but I probably wouldn't have taken that much...but he didn't verbalize that dose while I was there

Dr. Savarise was amazing. I absolutely adored him. This was my first visit. He listened, was attentive and provided me with options and made me feel optimistic. When, or if, I need to have my gallbladder removed he will be my top choice, I wish all surgeons were as kind, attentive and compassionate as he is.

Provider was very thorough in discussion of side effects, surgery procedures, good and bad outcomes. He kept the discussion at a level the average (non-medical) person (me) could follow and understand.

Doctor Savarise was very down to earth. He explained in detail how to treat my problem and listened to what I had to say. Best thing was, I left a message on MyChart and asked Doctor Savarise to call me. He personally called me; not a nurse, medical assistant or a PA as has always been the case with most other providers.

I had a great experience with this appointment. My feedback for my last appointment was more mediocre, and I wish I could go back and change the feedback to be a little bit better. I just didn't understand the sequence of some things. I felt like at that visit, the explanation of what to expect for surgery and how to prepare for surgery had been a bit too brief, and I was nervous and didn't think of all my questions on the spot. The explanation just before surgery was great, though. Very clear, and it helped me feel a bit less worried going into surgery. I was a bit more critical with my ratings of my last appointment because I didn't realize the explanation would come later, and I wish perhaps I'd gotten some of that explanation a bit sooner. This post-op appointment was great. Very efficient, good explanation of surgery outcome, etc. Based on this appointment and the surgery, I'd definitely recommend this provider.

The PA had long fingernails or sharp fingernails that made the finger exam more unpleasant than it needed to be compared to previous exams I've had. The scope part of the exam was fine and they did a good job of not making it more uncomfortable than it needed to be. The visit was very efficient which I appreciated but also felt a bit rushed. I wish the surgery recommendation had come with a bit more explanation of what to expect, how to prepare, risks, etc. I was given a folder with a couple pages of info that were helpful for scheduling and post-surgery restrictions, but very little in the way of things to buy beforehand, etc. For the surgery itself, maybe it's better not to know as much because that can be a bit scary I suppose, but I prefer to know what is in store for me, rare risks and all. They did do a good job of reassuring me that my case is mild and will likely have a quick recovery without many risks, so I'm hopeful that's the case. Bedside manner was very good and made me feel more comfortable during what could've been a very awkward or embarrassing visit.

I really liked Dr. Savarise. He is experienced and knowledgeable without me feeling as though he was talking over me or patronizing to my concerns. He immediately pinpointed the issue at hand and has a reasonable treatment plan that I appreciated. He was also very complimentary about my willingness to work towards healing through physical therapy exercises, which was kind of him. I am looking forward to having him do my surgery.

Dr Savarise was awesome. he remembered from our initial consultation that lidocaine doesn't always work on me and combined it with another numbing agent. He also took the time to wait and make sure it was numb before cutting. He explained everything he was doing and patiently answered all of my questions. I would very highly recommend him to anyone.
