Awesome and very caring attendant

This was my first visit with Katrina Emery, and I was pleasantly surprised. Katrina made me feel very comfortable. She is friendly, very skilled in her field, explains the medical problem very thoroughly and the treatment. She is patient and listens to my questions and takes the time to thoroughly answer them. I can see why it took me two months to get an appointment.

Katrina listened very closely to my problems and gave suggestions, hand outs for specific problems and made me feel that she really cared!

She was very good at listening to my issue, she asked many questions to get to the root of my issue. She gave me a few options of things to try to get my problem fixed. Was asked which one I would like to do so I felt like I had a say in my care. I left feeling very good and listened too.

Katrina is very pleasant. She is an excellent listener! However, her assistant desperately needs additional training. She is not a good listener, therefore she misconstrued what I was saying. She didnt come across as someone who likes interacting with patients.

Ms. Emery was helpful in getting me a referral to doctors able to address my issues

Katrina Emery fulfills my expectations for what an excellent health care worker should be. She excels at practicing medicine but treats patients. Some teachers teach classes, others teach students. She is of the latter. I'm confident that I will be on her mind as she attempts to solve my health issues after I leave the treatment room and throughout the day until she finds resolutions to my challenges. I believe that while at the moment she may not have an answer for all that I give her to solve, she will get it for me. Probably, you don't pay her enough and give her enough accolades.

Katrina was great. She listened and offered very informative feedback. She didn't act rushed during the visit and seemed like she genuinely cared. She has a rare quality that isn't seen that often in the health care industry.

Dr. Emery was amazing!!!!! She made me feel so heard, which is important to me considering I've been struggling for years for a doctor to really HEAR me. She asked every question in the book to ensure had a good understanding of my illness, and gave me no opportunity to forget any info. She is very very thorough and I'm eternally grateful for doctors like her. I'd recommend her time and time again to anyone I know who may need a GI doctor. :)

Great listener, didn't judge me based on my weight and actually thought to check me for malnutrition and nutrient deficincies brought on by my illness that previous care teams hadnt bothered to do for 6months. I feel much better and am improving daily because of her. Highly reccomend 10/10

Mostly i like she isn't about adding another drug and actually decreased one, she is kind and attentive to what i have to say and is actually helping to get to the bottom of the problem not just a band aid.

She is very knowledgeable; willing to listen to me & consider possible options if needed. Once I was able to get thru the U of U politics to get an appointment with her, I have been totally satisfied with her & her staff.
