I only saw Dr Lin for a few minutes. I saw the assistants and the fellow far longer than her. She was more concerned why I had gone to different doctors before her and why I would choose a different optometrist than one there even though they are not on my insurance. She showed no concern for my eyes or what I gad already been through. She discussed nothing about the progress, explained nothing about the diseases.

After being seen by the first staff who appeared to be a tech who asked general questions about my current vision condition, I was then seen by a young man in what appears to be a green surgical gown. He did not clearly introduce himself or explain why he is seeeing me as he started to examine my vision. After he left, Dr. Amy Lin came In asking a few more questions about my vision condition in general. I realized this is a teaching hospital and understand sometimes interns/residents and even medical students do a part of examination. I feel that a person other than the assigned phyician conduts the examination, that person should CLEARLY introduce himself/herself so that I do not have to wonder who this person is and why he/she is providing a part of the examination/care. It's awkward to discuss this with my doctor during the examination.
