Dr Nixon listened to my concerns and, even though we decided the pain in my ankle wasn't really an ankle issue after all, he validated my concerns and agreed that the ankle adjacent area on my lag should be evaluated with an MRI so he made sure to place an order for one so it could be done before the end of the year, when my deductible resets.

He never said what was causing the pain, he told that it wasn't a fracture, but never said what it was. Still not sure what is wrong with the ankle, just been told to go to PT

Dr. Nixon was so kind and clear in his explanation. He knew that I had taken a day off work to be able to attend this appointment. He went out of his way to get me in for a CT scan that very same day and then followed up with me in real time. This saved me another trip (I am from out of the SLC area) another copay and another day off of work. This must have thrown a wrench into his day to see me twice but the care and concern for me and my time was unlike anything I've ever had from any provider in any setting. Dr. Nixon included me in the decision and future steps related to my healing. I left feeling cared for, valued, and overall better about my future and how my injury will impact my life.

Dr. Nixon was very thorough and understandable in describing treatment and possible surgery. He gave me hope I gave him all of that, one way or the other, I would end up with full use of my foot or at least 90%. He warned me of the downside of six weeks and a boot and not being able to put any weight on my foot. So far oh, I like and trust this doctor
