I found Dr Petty to be personable and in line with current guidelines from the ADA. He was the first Dr in 30+ years to ask me how I achieved my near normal blood sugar control for type 1 diabetes. The answer for me was to restrict carbohydrates to less than 50 grams per day. Low carb high fat and protein. I found the insulin balanced with carbs and exercise formula game with a lot of effort for very poor results. ADA needs to drop the idea that eating 140 plus grams of carbs can achieve. Near normal blood sugars. I had to discover this on my own, on YouTube, without any help and much bad advice from highly trained experts.

I think he can be more respectful and come with better solutions than basically a trial an error approach for an 80 year old women. I know Dr are the experts but it doesnt give patient confidence when they say we could try this, if it dont work then that. Like it doesnt give you the confidence as a a patient to believe what is the right thing to do. You end up leaving with more questions than actual answers.

Dr. Lloyd is knowledgeable and thoughtful, but would benefit from listening to patients better and not invalidating experiences that don't follow the textbook. More experience will lead to better care.

Bedside man or was awful. Saying empathetic words with zero compassion is worse than just being transparently rude

I was not impressed with him at all. I was not taken seriously and was made to feel like my concerns and fears and even my symptoms were not serious or that i was making them up. I was thankful for the lab work done, which the results validated my concerns and suspicions. however it would be very appreciated if someone would actually get ahold of me about the results. its been almost a week and nothing.
