Michael grew up in the great state of Wisconsin. He started his healthcare career upon graduating from High School, enlisting in the reserve component of the United States Army as a Medic. During his undergraduate education, Michael worked as an EMT and later as a Paramedic. He attended the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh for his BSN (2005). Michael worked as CVICU RN for 2 years before attending the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science for his graduate anesthesia education (2010). For the first 12 years of his anesthesia career, Michael worked as a CRNA at the Oregon Health and Science University (OHSU) Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine (APOM). Michael joined the University of Utah Department of Anesthesiology in August, 2022.
Michael is a “family man". He met his wife Heather on a chairlift doing something they both love: snowboarding. Michael and his wife have 7 wonderful children. Their love for the Mountains and “The Greatest Snow on Earth" played a large part in attracting them to Utah. When the snow melts and the Ingersoll family can no longer snowboard, they reach for their mountain bikes. Michael is a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan, and newly a die-hard Utes Football fan, GO UTES!
