Derek Stokes, MD is currently a non-operative Sports Medicine Fellow at the University of Utah. Derek completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Colorado in Aurora, CO and obtained his medical degree at the University of Missouri in Columbia, MO. Dr. Stokes’ interests include diagnostic and procedural MSK ultrasound, sports coverage, and medical education. He is originally from Joplin, MO and enjoys spending time outdoors hiking in the summer and skiing in the winter, trying new restaurants and breweries, and spending time with his fiancé, Emma, and yellow lab, Louie.
