  • Katelyn E. Tondo-Steele is a gynecologic oncologist at the University of Utah. She specializes in the treatment of gynecologic cancers and pre-cancers including cervical, uterine, ovarian, vulvar and vaginal cancer. Clinically, she sees patients for evaluation and management of new gynecologic cancer diagnosis, surveillance during and after treatment of gynecologic cancers, as well as screening and management of hereditary cancer populations including BRCA and Lynch syndromes. She is passionate about lifestyle modification and glucose metabolism in gynecologic cancers as well as education of future gynecologists.

    After completing her Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology and Math/Computer Science from Saint Mary’s of Notre Dame, she attended Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine where she received her Doctor of Osteopathic (DO) Medicine degree. She completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH and completed research and clinical fellowship at the University of Michigan.

    Dr. Tondo-Steele loves the outdoors (hiking, skiing, running) especially with her husband who is from the West Coast. They enjoy traveling, trying new foods, and spending time with friends and family.
