Patient Rating
Most patients praise Allyson for her long COVID expertise, careful listening, clear explanations, and for providing referrals and actionable care plans that helped them feel validated. Many describe her as personable, patient, and supportive during visits. A minority reported inconsistent bedside manner—including moments of perceived irritation, dismissive language, feeling rushed or pushed on the vaccine, and limited new answers—which tempers otherwise strong positive feedback.

Knowledgeable, communicative, willing to discuss all aspects of my concerns. Not rushed and taking time to talk to me.
Outstanding medical professional. Don't hesitate to be under her care- professional, caring, supportive, helpful. She's a gem.
Her demeanor seemed somewhat abrupt'but everyone has bad days. I appreciate the clinic and know I'm in good hands.
Allyson is fantastic to work with and makes the experience positive and hopeful on improving your healthcare.
Allyson and team are incredible. The care they provide for long COVID patients is second to none. Allyson was able to quickly and accurately identify symptoms I didn't know were indicative of long COVID and connect me to practitioners who have helped me understand my triggers and manage my symptoms. Highly recommend.
I was so relieved to talk with her about this because everything I had learned about my illness was so general but when she responded with knowledge that what I was saying ranged true I felt like I was heard the help tat she has set me up for has contacted me and will be on my way to recovery soon the information packet helped me to begin with a new plan the next day I have been releasing gilt and getting better sleep do to the knowledge
Great job!
Allyson is an extremely knowledgeable and truly understands the needs of patients with Long COVID. I've only had my initial visit, but she is already head and shoulders above any other provider I've seen related to this type of care.
Allyson was very caring and listened well to my concerns. Seemed to have a good grasp on what the care team is trying to accomplish
She is an excellent communicator and practioner.
She is very good at what she does, very knowledgeable and explains things clearly and really listens to you as a patient! Very personable and helpful. Highly recommend her!
Allyson Bryden, APRN is knowledgeable about long covid as well as being a good listener and a great advocate. I'd recommend her to anyone suffering from long-covid.
Allyson was very attentive and really tried to help me with my health. Very informative and knowledgeable!
Allyson is AMAZING. She listens, cares & follows up effectively. If you are someone starting with the Long Covid Clinic, my only suggestion for you is that you be patient, not a patient, but have patience. This process is rarely fast, but it is thorough and effective. If you are suffering from Long Covid, then YOU are in the right place!
Allyson was fantastic. I had been searching for answers for two years with no real success. Allyson was able to give me some answers as to why I have certain symptoms and some solutions that can at least lesson some of the symptoms.
She is very knowledgeable, approachable, and kind. She listens. She explains things well.
Very caring. Takes the time to listen. Forms a plan
Literally one of the good ones. Always makes me feel seen and heard. Always gives me the time I need, yet is consistently on schedule.
Allyson answered my questions honestly which I always appreciate whether good news or not, actively included me in plan of care by askimg what I wanted or what my goals were and based on that gave relevant support/information, and I'm always very grateful for patience shown like she did when I try talking, which takes longer since I stutter.
Allyson is Truly Amazing
Ali is always very thorough and really cares. She has a lot of knowledge and experience. If she is unable to help with something, she helps me figure out who can. She's great.
Answers given finally.
Allyson answered all my questions clearly, asked me questions to help identify the symptoms I was most concerned with and referred specialists accordingly. She was professional, respectful and positive helping me stay on task and focused, and in addressing my concerns.
Amazing! She was willing to listen but also was able to keep me on track to cover a lot of issues. This appt and has allowed me to start the process of healing.
Allyson was thorough and patient. She covered all of my symptoms carefully and explained things in a comprehensive way.
Very knowledgeable and engaged to make you feel heard and empathetic of your symptoms of long covid. Can point you in the right direction for treatment.
She was just great. Very knowledgeable
Allyson was great. Her reassurance that I wasn't crazy was so helpful. She got me pointed in the direction of some help and hopefully with time my body and brain will recover. She is amazing!
Allyson listened to my concerns and gave options of seeing other Dr or people who can help with my long covid
Allyson is a great provider. She is very caring and answered all my questions thoroughly and in a friendly manner. After my visit I feel much more optimistic about my future health.
I always leave her appointments feeling involved in the decision making part of my care. It's fantastic to be included in my care.
She was the first person who really listened to me about my Covid longhaul issues. She gave me new information that no one else had given me. I can't express the relief I felt at being listened to and taken seriously.
During our appointment there were a few things said that I found inappropriate. She said something like, "Oh, so it's only an increase in your preexisting condition." 'Only'? What on earth gives anyone the right to describe someone conditions being excelarrated by decades as 'only'? At another point, after being informed that she understood what I meant by, "Praying the last prayer." She used the words 'dull' to describe my pain. If it hurts so badly that I'm praying with God to take the pain or take my life, it is not dull. A Christian asking thier Maker to end their life has monumental significance. When I had expressed concern about the costs of traveling to so many appointments I was told about how that's a common thing and other patients are traveling farther and have things so much worse. How bad does it have to be before clinicians consider that cost is a factor? Please, take these factors into consideration before interacting with future patients.
Very knowledgeable and informative about Post Covid
Allyson was great. She talked so fast that at times I had a hard time understanding her. She was awesome in every other aspect.
It was a great relief to talk to Allyson about my symptoms. She was very informative and was very speedy in getting me started on a couple of LC ¿rehab¿ therapies. I would most certainly recommend her to anyone in a situation like mine!
Listens and validates your feelings. :)
She was very kind and understanding. She gave me thorough explanations of what was going on and made me feel validated
I really think she was awesome she was fun funny great bedside manner and I really appreciated the way she explained everything to me in layman's terms
Thank you for pointing me in the right direction to begin my recovery journey. You were a delight to talk with, and very helpful. Talking with you gave me options that I didn't have before, and showed me that my case isn't as hopeless as I'd feared.
Allyson is very knowledgeable and treated me with respect when others didn't seem to care.
Excellent! Thorough!
Very informative and helpful
Allyson was kind and compassionate and detailed in her examination of my Post-Covid health problems. I have hope of recovery.
Super knowledgeable about long COVID - this was the best appointment I have ever had with any doctor about my condition! She was extremely personable and helpful and carefully covered all my needs. I have a plan of action for the first time. Excellent care!
Very caring and helpful with the illness I have. She took her time with our visit and never seemed rushed. She would listen to me when I would tell her what problems I have and has also gotten me with other providers and support groups. It was very good to have a care provider like Allyson that understood my symptoms and was able to explain them to me. When we finished our visit she cared enough that I can email her if I have any other questions may have.
Allyson is very nice and caring person who seems to be interested in the patient.
Good
Allyson Bryden, APRN. She was very personable, with a pleasant personality. She did a very through workup on my lingering covid issues of no smell or taste (approx 3 months). She treated me as if "I" were the only person with these particular covid issues. Outstanding care and concern.
She was wonderful. Great at listening, really devoted her time and attention to the visit. My disappointment is just that theres no real treatment for long covid. It has nothing to do with the provider. She was really great.
Allyson was caring in her own words and respected what I had to say. She asked questions, listened to me and we discussed . She included me in explains the care she thought I might consider going forward with. She is definitely a five star if that is the highest.
She was very knowledgeable and gave me suggestions that can help me. She was empathetic and listened and heard what I said. Her information gave me hope.
Very caring, knowledgeable very easy to discuss issues with
I was very impressed. She listened to be and made sure we had discussed all of my needs. She was great at getting me all the resources I should need
Allyson was excellent, and I am glad to have her insight into what's going on with me.
Very kind, thorough and spent time to make sure l understood everything. Checked all my labs and X-rays. Kindness and caring.
If I wasn't late, because, of matters out of my control, she may have been nicer to me. I don't know if she was just like that or if it was because of being late. She had moments where she seemed caring and concerned and than moments where she seemed irritated. I understand that she's probably stressed from what she does for a living but, the people coming to her are sick and scared and depressed and suicidal. I don't know, maybe be more kind and keep your personal feelings away from the office. I had seen another doctor and what they told me is I was seeing this doctor's MA and she was trying to explain to me that you don't see an MA you see something else... The way she was explaining this to me, wasn't very kind way to speak to someone who is sick. In just the last 5 years I've seen a lot of doctors and a lot of nurses and I can tell the ones who actually really care and want to do their job, she had back and forth moments, felt like she was getting frustrated with me at some points
She's wonderful.
Allyson Bryden was very calm cool, and collected. She explained well.
Just not a good experience for me. Telling me that 3 years is not enough time to know anything about Covid doesnt make sense to me.
She actually interrupted my explanation of symptoms to ask what was the point and if I had a specific question - very rude and disheartening.
I had waited for this appointment for months hoping for answers and some helpful solutions. I didn't hear anything new. I don't understand how the Covid long haul clinic is any different from going to a general doctor. I received no new advice, just that what my doctors were doing was great.
Provider cut me off. I felt like she was not listening. She had a checklist to get through and that's all she focused on.
Ally was both caring and efficient. Her experience with other COVID patients was helpful. She made excellent notes and was happy to print them for me.
Allyson took plenty of time to look into my complete situation. She asked insightful questions and provided clear information. She answered all my questions and explained what I didn't understand.
She did her best, unfortunately there's not a lot of information for long Covid victims. But she tried to give me hope for some of it. She gave me a few referrals that might help that my main practitioner can help me with at home. As I live an hour and a half away.
She was AMAZING! She genuinely cared about me. Allyson was patient with me and my issues. She thoroughly listened and took accurate notes. At no time did Allyson make me feel like she was rushed or didn't care. She explained everything to me and provided me with a lot of useful information. For the first time in this Long Covid journey. Someone (Allyson) made me feel like I wasn't crazy and I had a legitimate illness. Words cannot express my gratitude for her and also her assistant.
Ally is great but this clinic absolutely does NOT provide comprehensive care for long COVID patients who are suffering and in need of answers and care.
Good
The travel time and hotel and food was too much when nothing could be done when at visit.
I just wish we knew more about Long covid so I can start feeling better. I know the Medical teams are working hard to help
I didn't realize that it was for referrals. I thought it would be for treatment.
I wasn't aware that this was a triage type of clinic and referrals made only.
I felt the knowledge was limited and did not consider any other natural means of treatment which have been successful for me currently.
Allyson was very thorough and asked alot of pertinent questions. She listens well.
She was extremely thorough and it was such a relief to talk to someone who knew about Long COVID and wasn't surprised by any symptoms, and actually had options and recommendations for me to try. She gave me hope.
Ali was amazing. She gave me information that was helpful to what I was going through. She let me know about the new and still ongoing treatments and studies they were doing with long hauler Covid patients. It was perfect!
Excellent explanation and ongoing treatment set up. Loved the experience and very encouraging.
I feel like she made some good referrals for me but we never actually talked about long haulers and what it is or what it means or what the outcome means.
Let my husband leave, said they were admitting me to the hospital30 minute later they said they were discharging me. I live at [ADDRESS REMOVED] so Quite a drive back and forth.
Not a lot of answers, tried to push covid vaccine on me when I said no I needed to talk with my PCP. Tried to tell me what my PCP who has been treating me for over 10 years told me was Incorrect and that the vaccine will help you stay out of the hospital. Um no It doesn't. I don't feel she really listened to me about before covid. She kept checking her watch so I did not bring up the other issues I have.
I know that Covid long haulers is a new condition but I expected some answers and just not referral after referral
Good
I would have liked a copy of my clinical notes .
My visit consisted about things I already accomplished.
Unfortunately for me, there was a lot more information provided on mental health resources than there was on how to go about getting care to resolve the physical symptoms or work the U of U healthcare system which is very cumbersome and very slow.
Very pleased with the help and answers they gave me
All was excellent. I just wish there were clearer answers about how to treat my long-haul Covid/symptoms. We'll see about getting there, though.
My reason to come to the U of U was referral concerning possible Covid Long Haul. So I am pretty sure we are still working on anyone knowing anything about this, but I felt she was very informative and cared about my issues.
