Amy Still is an incredible provider. As someone who has chronic illnesses and sees a lot of providers, Amy gives me hope. Everything was excellent

Over all my experience with Dr. Still was great. My one complaint was that she didn't mention my need to trial physical therapy, or that she was referring me to physical therapy in the appt, it's in her notes, but I only found out when I got a text message saying a referral had been submitted. The 2nd thing that wasn't communicated well was she talked about adding a medicine, I thought that ment she was going to have it sent to the pharmacy same day, while at the pharmacy I was informed it would be sent in tomorrow and then through messaging I was told that they don't typically prescribe meds that they'd do it this time but if I want refills I'll have to take it to my pcp. This was frustrating because it wasn't communicated at the original appt.

Amy Still had no clue what I was there for. I asked her if she knew and she said she had been studying my chart all morning. If she had glanced at my chart she would have known I was there for post op and not pre surgery diagnosis. I wasted my morning. I realize that the time of the health care provider is valuable. That is why we are asked to come early. But you might consider that the patients time is also of value.

Care provider has extreme difficulty in communicating effectively. I have had the same problem pre last surgery and had discussed this with her in my follow-up appointment. During this appointment one path was discussed and her follow-up email as to next steps were not inline with what was said in the appointment. As with the last surgery, this causes undo stress and anxiety because I am consistently confused as to what we are doing. Again, this confusion is caused by saying one thing, doing another, and communicating something completely different. Last surgery and again with this first appointment, a procedure that I've stated many times as something I am not comfortable with is continuously being pushed upon me. During the last procedure (these messages can be seen in MyChart) she would not speak with me directly and had three different people calling to schedule this procedure after I had said over and over that I do not want it. This appointment proved to be the same issues all over again and I messaged her again stating the I am having a lot of difficulty with her communication. I was told that she would just connect me with Dr. Mahan directly, instead of trying to resolve the problem with her. I feel that she does not listen to my concerns and every appointment is rushed, which leaves me with more miscommunication going forward and thus causing stress and anxiety.

Amy is exemplary on all counts. She's kind, attentive, very well-informed, and she means to get things right. She's a genuine medical professional who inspires confidence and makes you feel understood and safe.

The pa did not check me in any way. I expressed concern about back pain and and was told that I needed to find another doctor for that. I think to world of doctor Mayan but he is under represented by his pa. I do not know why the doctor does not see his patients. I took a day off work and traveld 100 mile to chat with someone that did not help me.

In my previous comments I explained how great Amy was, what an exceptional employee you have in her. I ran out of room and didn't get to mention Tara the physical therapist. Wow! She was great. She too took a genuine interest in me and my back problems. Even though it was lunch time, she took her time with me and was in no rush to move me along. What a sweet person she is and so skilled in what she does. Other offices in the past, not U of U, have given me instructions and exercises to do, but only handed me a paper. She not only printed out all the exercises, but actually had me perform them with her being the coach. How good is that? Tara was very knowledgeable , patient and kind, and also very fun to be around. The whole appointment went without a flaw from start to finish, with no undue waiting or anything like that. I was totally amazed at the precision the flow of the appointment went. Good job, here again, another #10.

Dr. Stipleman is phenomenal. The level of attention, interest, and authenticity in her bedside manner is unbeatable. Amy is a straight-forward 'fireball'. Seems like she had reviewed my file and X-rays before walking in and she got right down to business. She asked a lot of questions and responded to my questions. She pulled up MRI and X-ray images and provided details of what was the cause of my back and leg pain and how Dr. Mahan may be able to deal with it. Amy Still is an excellent APRN she is very knowledgeable about spine issues. She spends a good amount of time with patients and addresses all concerns. She works with Dr. Mahan and they both decided I needed spine surgery and five weeks post op I feel great.

The PA spoke to me about a potential plan moving forward and I expressed that I was not comfortable with this plan. I followed up with a secure message about my concerns with this plan. The PA did not address those concerns and instead passed the issue to her nurse, who messaged me later with the same exact plan, again not addressing my concerns. A day or so later, I was called by the scheduler with a referral again for the plan I was not comfortable with. At no time has anyone called and spoke with me about another plan going forward, nor any other options. It has been a week and a half to no avail. Furthermore, I have also messaged the surgeon as well and have not heard back. I contacted costumer service yesterday to get assistance and I'm hoping they will be able to help.
