  • Breanne Schiffer, MD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor of Laryngology within the Division of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Utah.

    Dr. Schiffer completed her fellowship training in Laryngology under the guidance of Dr. Marshall Smith at the University of Utah. She also completed her residency training in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Utah. She believes in a multi-disciplinary team-based approach to the management of patients with voice, swallow, and airway concerns and has a particular interest in the medical and surgical treatment of voice disorders.

    She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX, and received a Master in Public Health from the University of Texas School of Public Health. She completed medical school at the Long School of Medicine – University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX, where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

    Dr. Schiffer's clinical interests in Laryngology include vocal fold paralysis, vocal fold nodules, polyps, and cysts, laryngeal reinnervation, in-office vocal fold augmentation, vocal fold laser treatments, laryngeal microsurgery, zenker's diverticulum repair, cricopharyngeal myotomy, botox treatment for voice disorders, and endoscopic treatment of airway stenosis.

    Absolutely incredible. Respectful, kind, and thankfully one of the few doctors who offer Botox for a throat spasm and burp disorder! Finding her saved my quality of life. She¿s very professional and good at what she does. And now I¿m pain free.

    Dr. Breanne Schiffer, MD, was a great surgeon that performed my procedure. She is very friendly and yet very professional and caring. She explained everything that we needed to know in a way that we could understand the procedure, side effects, etc., and gave my husband and I all the time needed to ask questions of her. She treated us with respect and kindness. I will highly recommend anyone needing otolaryngology help to see Dr. Schiffer.
