The staff person scheduled a new appointment for me with Dr. Stagg, but said he wasn't able to schedule the field of vision test required before the visit with Dr. Stagg. I don't know how to do this.

So I felt relieved that my minor symptoms did not indicate a serious condition at this time.

David was the technician performing the visual field exam. He made the experience quite an exceptional one compared to previous visual field exams I have had. The time he took to position my eyes properly on the machine so that my neck was not strained, and the method in which he obscured the eye not being tested was perfect!

I was very impressed with Dr. Stagg. I told him I could not see to read. He examined my left eye and found scar tissue around the lens pocket. Instead of having me come back, he arranged to do a laser treatment while I was there. The next day I could read again! So grateful he took the time to help me.

I would encourage anyone having this surgery toask what other ways to reduce pain other than over the counter Med Tynelol or Aleve .Information about how my eye might look the day after i.e. swelling, discoloration of iris, shape of pupil something that looked like pooling of blood.What is normal and what is not should be discussed. Even something that may seem obvious such as you will not be able to see out of your eye that underwent surgery for a day and a half or up to however much time this might occur. This may seem like obvious information but I really did not know what to expect and O did not receive any printed information when I left recovery about what to expect at 8 hours, 24hours post op.

again not much to rate dr. stagg said u dont have glaucoma but do have macular.recommend 6 month vusits to insure that if i do will be caught early which i agreed was a good idea

The first appointment was good, all set to get my husband cataract out. Then with the second appointment, the Dr. said no hurry when we did the surgery, that was totally different from the first appt. and acted like he didn't want to help him.
Dr. Staggs and the resident intern, Dr. Bair were informative, patient and very professional.
