Dr. Johnson is a stellar neurologist and his great strength is listening. He didn't deflect my symptoms to other specialists, even though I have a complicated medical history. After my previous neurologist with the University of Utah Healthcare left to pursue other career opportunities, I was... not excited, per se, to meet a new neurologist, but Dr. Johnson completely won me over within the first few minutes of my first visit. Continuity is nice, especially when the doctor begins the session with "It's nice to see you again". When I, in fact, had no memory of why I was there. Dr. J explained in simple terms that lit the bulb in my head. Caring, concise, knowledgeable. What more does one need?

Dr. Johnson was very personable and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain things well, and answer any questions I had. I didn't feel rushed during the appointment or pressured into any treatments or medications in which I felt uncomfortable. Dr. Johnson is by far the best neurologist I have seen.
It's nice to have doctors who aren't nearing retirement. Dr. Johnson lays it out as he sees it. No pulling punches. I could see him think about what he wanted to say. Then he delivered his information clearly, and concisely (with just a touch of "yes, we care about you).

Our appointments with Dr, Johnson are always very good. Our daughter started to have frequent seizures a couple of years ago and he has helped us try to control the intensity without giving up her quality of life. He's a good listener and appreciates our questions and input.
