  • Cali Johnson, MD, EdD joins the Division of Vascular Surgery as an Assistant Professor. Dr. Cali Johnson grew up in California and went to medical school at University of California in San Francisco. She completed her General Surgery training at the University of Southern California. During this time, she pursued a Surgical Education Research Fellowship through the Association for Surgical Education, and received a Doctorate in Education from the University of Southern California. She completed her vascular fellowship through an Early Specialization Program at University of Southern California.

    Dr. Johnson’s clinical interests include a broad range of vascular disease, with specific interests in complex aortic endovascular surgery and limb preservation through a multidisciplinary approach. Her academic pursuits include the integration of surgical education into system improvement and high quality patient care.

    Dr Johnson makes it very apparent that she is invested in my care, and treats me as an individual, not just another patient. She listens to my concerns and is not afraid to show the human side of medicine, through empathy and compassion.
