David is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy and Program Coordinator for the University of Utah Sports Physical Therapy Residency. He specializes in treating sports related injuries with special interests in knee and ankle injuries with an emphasis on post-operative rehabilitation, running and cycling injuries, and injury prevention. David is a Utah native and received his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Utah. He then pursued additional training in sports medicine by completing a sports residency program at The Ohio State University, where he provided athletic event coverage for local high school and collegiate sports, taught in the DPT program, and completed research on ACL injuries which he has presented at national conferences. Since returning to the University of Utah he has continued to be involved in providing medical coverage at local high schools and research related to rehabilitation following ACL reconstruction in addition to working with patients in the clinic.
David is a member of the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy and the American Physical Therapy Association. Outside the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing soccer, biking, hiking, and being outdoors
