Emily Bigler is a physician assistant at the University of Utah Orthopaedic Center with the spine team. Emily joined the spine team in 2024 after two years of experience as an inpatient PA in general surgery in New Mexico. She completed her training at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston Salem, NC.
Emily works primarily with Dr. Ryan Spiker at both the University Orthopaedic Center and South Jordan Health Center as well as inpatient at the University of Utah Hospital. She sees new patients and post-operative patients. Dr. Spiker and Emily see patients who may benefit from surgery, and together they explore the best solutions for their patients. As a member of the spine team, Emily is routinely involved in patient evaluation, laboratory and advanced imaging interpretation, and treatment planning; as participation in operative procedures and inpatient hospital care.
