Emily Serrano, DMD, MS, MPH, is a craniofacial orthodontist with specialized expertise in the treatment of children and adults with complex craniofacial and dental needs. She provides comprehensive orthodontic care for both pediatric and adult patients, with advanced training in cleft and craniofacial orthodontics, pre- and post-surgical orthodontia, and orthodontic interventions for facial trauma and temporomandibular disorders.

Education and Training
Dr. Serrano earned her undergraduate degree from Brown University before completing her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) and Master of Public Health (MPH) at A.T. Still University Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health in 2021. She then completed a residency in orthodontics and earned her Master of Science in Orthodontics at A.T. Still University Postgraduate Orthodontic Program in 2023.
To further specialize in craniofacial care, she pursued a Craniofacial Orthodontic Fellowship at the University of Utah, where she received extensive training in cleft and craniofacial care, nasoalveolar molding, surgical orthodontics, facial trauma, temporomandibular disease, and pediatric dentistry.
Research and Academic Interests
Dr. Serrano’s research is focused on advancing surgical and orthodontic outcomes for patients with craniofacial differences. Her current research interests include:
- Nasoalveolar molding (NAM)
- Surgically assisted rapid palatal expansion
- LeFort osteotomies and pre- and post-surgical orthodontics
