  • Eric Yochem, MS, MPAS, ATC/L, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant at the University of Utah Orthopaedic Center, specializing in foot and ankle care. His clinical interests include traumatic foot and ankle injuries, non-operative fractures, arthritis, tendonitis, sports injuries, and foot and ankle reconstruction.

    Eric completed his Physician Assistant training at the University of Utah Physician Assistant Program before joining the foot and ankle team in February 2022. Prior to becoming a PA-C, he spent 15 years as an athletic trainer in collegiate athletics. He served as the Head Football Athletic Trainer for the University of Utah from 2012 to 2017 and as an Assistant Athletic Trainer from 2009 to 2012. From 2006 to 2009, he was the Head Athletic Trainer for Baseball and Assistant Athletic Trainer for Football at the University of Kentucky.

    Eric provided athletic training coverage for the University of Kentucky baseball team while earning his Master of Science in Health Promotion and Kinesiology in 2006. In 2003, he completed an NFL Athletic Training Internship with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education with an emphasis in Athletic Training from the University of Georgia.

    Eric is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and education in foot and ankle pathology. Outside of work, he enjoys trail running with his dog, working out, and rock climbing.
