Dr Zinkhan was very kind, knowledgeable and professional. He gave me a full neurological exam, asked me numerous questions and answered all my questions, he went over my MRI and others tests, I never felt rushed as with past visits with other providers, it was very refreshing. He gave me a diagnosis and prescribed me medication. After many years of living with pain, I'm very hopeful, I know that I'm in the right hands at this clinic.

Very easygoing, great to work with doctor! Dr Zinkhan's been my neuro for years and will definitely keep seeing him! Dr Zinkhan is very thorough in testing, care, and explaining questions and his thought processes. If you bring up findings or concerns to him, he will address very politely why or why not he may see that a concern. He will let you know if something is outside of his speciality, but if it is not he will give lots of I formation especially in MyChart to help you learn about your condition and treatment plan. He's super accommodating and has both virtual and in person visits (depending on care needs, of course). I recommend Dr Zinkhan to anyone who needs a neurologist!

Dr. Zinkhan is knowledgeable, friendly, patient, honest, and seems to have a holistic approach to treatment, which I appreciate. Patients with chronic illness have nearly always experienced dismissive providers in the past and are often apprehensive of seeing new specialists. Dr. Zinkhan seemed aware of this in that he was quick to establish trust and acted with transparency. I felt that he was extremely validating in responding to my symptoms and experiences while also wanting objective support (which is a good thing!). Amazing. "Heroes" aren't always the flashy, trauma-responding healthcare providers. The mundane, ongoing support from providers like Dr. Z causes patients like myself to weep with relief and gratitude, sometimes finding hope for the first time in months or years of dark days. These providers are the underrecognized silver lining to the devastation of a previously healthy life via chronic illness.

Dr. Zinkhan is hands down the best provider Ive had at the UofU health system. He is very responsive to patients and treats you like a collaborator in figuring out your health conditions. He uses his expertise to guide the direction of treatment and allows you to lead and make important decisions about your health. I came to him after 6 years of being served by the UofU health system, aimlessly bounced around or reaching dead ends with other providers. I was beginning to lose hope in the UofU system and was considering going elsewhere. However Dr. Zinkhan single handledly restored the faith I had lost in UofU health. He is the first medical expert to truly listen and respect me as an expert in my own body. He considered the research I had done and ordered blood work in each area. After 6 long years we made a breakthrough. Im so grateful for him and his partnership in improving my health.

Dr Zinkhan is an excellent care provider. I've been under his care for eight yrs now and my only wish is that he could treat me for all of my medical needs though he does his utmost to cover just about everything. Extremely likable personality/ should be giving lessons to some other providers on communication/listening skills :)
I was surprised he didn't ask me if I had any questions or anything else I wanted to talk about. I was able to interrupt him near the end to bring up a couple things and he then took the time to discuss them etc. I didn't feel rushed at all. It just felt like he was maybe overwhelmed in trying to go down the (long) list of my concerns to follow up on everything in the short time that he maybe forgot to ask.
At this stage of life, 92 with dementia/Alzheimers, most of the conversations with Dr. Zinkhan are centered on tough subject areas that are extremely difficult to discuss openly. Dr. Zinkhans compassion is more important than his incredible, deep body of knowledge. As we talk, he is typing notes about our visit and follow-on assignments, while looking directly at me. He's amazing. The visit summaries are detailed, follow the discussions of the visit, making them more memorable, and clear, as is he. If neurologists have a bad rep about the lack of bedside manners or interest in the seemingly mundane to someone so highly trained, Dr. Zinkhan makes up for the broad community of his specialty.

Dr. Zinkhan has been awesome! He was quick to give diagnosis, treatment options, asked questions, and truly considers what is going to be best for the individual. He really involves the patient in their own care, and is open minded with treatment. Both my wife and I suffered from frequent chronic migraines, and since we both started seeing him we have both have had amazing and drastic reduction in migraines, and a massive quality of life increase. Highly recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Zinkhan is the ONLY doctor (neurologist) I have seen in the past 25 years who has told me that if a course of action does not work, we will move on to another course of action. All the others I have seen have given a prescribed course of action and when it didn't work, continued to follow that course of action and tell me that I was on maintenance, even when there had been no improvement. I was then stuck on many prescriptions that were not working and had not lessened the number of migraines I was having. I have been waiting for quite a while to have Dr. Zinkhan within my "network" of providers so that I might return to his care.
I love the way in which Dr. Z talks and acts with me as a patient. I don't ever feel judged or looked down on with him as my doctor! He is an amazing doctor! I would & have recommended him to others.
Was very impressed with the provider really listening to my concerns, addressing the different aspects in turn, and informing me of the path forward. Not only did he explain the next steps (including why, what to expect, and potential risks/side effects/etc), but he also explained many of the other options that work similarly as well as other options that are unique and different branches of the tree, so to speak. It was very clear that provider had a wide knowledge about his field (and related fields/issues). Everything was well explained without feeling like I was being spoken down to.
