Dr. Sherman's approach to care is unlike anyone I have experienced. Over time, she has tried many different medication options with me. She has always took into account not just my migraines, but how each choice affects me personally. Nothing ever feels rushed or routine. During appointments, it is clear that her focus is entirely on me. She listens carefully, remembers details, and follows up on even small concerns. Those details make it obvious that she genuinely cares and truly wants to help and not just manage symptoms. Unfortunately, I have extensive experience with doctors'both good and bad'due to far too many medical issues, and this level of care is rare. If she states that she is up to date on my current diagnoses and records, (referring to recently shared records) I fully expect her to have read or at least skimmed them. When I stated that I did not have the typical form of a disease and provided her with evidence from other doctors and tests, she made it seem like she was listening and assured me she was aware of my concerns, but when I went back into the notes following the appointment it was obvious that she did not listen, nor read the records that she stated she had read. This behavior leads to confusion for both parties, delayed treatment and possible misdiagnosis down the road.

Dr.Sherman has always had a light hearted and friendly demeanor towards me. She is also very receptive to my experiences, needs, and worries and provides options with explanations and involves me in making an informed decision on my treatment plan.
