  • Jeff Pettey, MD, MBA, is the Vice-Chair of Clinical Affairs of the John A. Moran Eye Center and a Professor in the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the University of Utah. He holds the Dr. Ezekiel R. and Edna Wattis Dumke Endowed Chair for Global Outreach.

    Dr. Pettey chairs the San Francisco Match Oversight Committee and the American Academy of Ophthalmology’s Sustainability Committee. He is the past president of the Ophthalmology Program Director’s Council. He is a founder and serves on the executive committee for the Global Ophthalmology Summit and Academic Global Ophthalmology Consortium.

    Dr. Pettey has over 65 peer-reviewed publications and is recognized internationally for his expertise in complex cataract surgery, ophthalmic education, and global ophthalmology. He regularly lectures on these topics.

    His clinical interests include complex anterior segment and refractive cataract surgery.
