    Jessica received her bachelor’s in science in Exercise and Sports Science from the University of Utah in 2003, graduating with cum laude honors. She initially started teaching exercise classes for the Department of Exercise and Sports Science in 2001, and after graduation, continued working for the Department of Exercise and Sports Science as an Associate Instructor, teaching both fitness and lecture-based classes. She also joined the University of Utah healthcare team as an Exercise Physiologist for the Department of Cardiology, helping patients improve their cardiovascular health in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. In 2005, she moved to Connecticut to attend Quinnipiac University’s Physician Assistant program. There, she received training in medicine and completed her general rotations at various hospitals and clinics in Connecticut, with her Cardiology training at Hartford Hospital. After graduating with her Masters in Health Sciences as a Physician Assistant from Quinnipiac University in 2007, she completed her board certifications and licensing and returned to Utah, where she worked in private practice at Mountain West Dermatology. She then followed her passion and returned to join the University of Utah General Cardiology team in 2010, where she continues to practice.
