  • Dr. Genzen is an Associate Professor (Clinical) in the Department of Pathology at the University of Utah.     Dr. Genzen received both his Ph.D. and M.D. from the University of Chicago. He completed his clinical pathology residency at Yale-New Haven Hospital / Yale University in the Department of Laboratory Medicine, where he also conducted his postdoctoral research fellowship. He then served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology at Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC) and Assistant Attending Pathologist at New York Presbyterian Hospital, where he was Medical Director of the Westchester Division clinical laboratory and Assistant Director of the WCMC core clinical laboratory. He joined the University of Utah in 2013.

    Dr. Genzen’s clinical and research focus is on automated clinical chemistry and quality improvement through informatics.
