While I did not have any hearing loss or anything he supported my need to understand my husbands needs who has a substantial hearing loss. He explained what my diagnosis was very clearly, answered all my questions making me feel that he was listening to my concerns which I have not experienced very often from my medical care. He gave me info abt my inhaler, I had never been told, by 3 other Drs. He took time to explain things to me. I didnt feel he was rushed.

No one thinks that what seems simple, an ear infection, can turn into a long struggle that includes tinnitus, pain, and hearing loss. Dr. Jorgensen was the first care provider to get me on a treatment plan that resolved the issue. While I still have tinnitus the improvement has improved my quality of life.

I had 2 caregivers in the audiologist who conducted the testing and the professional who examined me and discussed with me the results of the testing. They were both excellent in providing the services.

My experience was a bit mixed as I understood that I was seeing this provider for a second time (the last time was in September) and the first time I felt incredibly listened to and like the provider gave really in-depth explanations of the potential reasons why my condition was happening. So this time I was following up with it because it hadn't changed, and I had expected that they might seem to show a bit more concern. I felt like even though they did order the tests I wanted that they were not concerned. I guess I just felt a bit brushed off as I felt like it seemed like they were being prematurely optomistic.

I got wax build up in my right ear. I tried everything I could to got the wax out and I did most of the wax. But a lot still remained near the eardrum and I didn't want to do it on my own considering the risk associated with it. Mr. Jacobsen was very kind and caring while removing the wax. He made me comfortable everytime I was feeling dizziness. My ear is as healthy as ever now thanks to him. I really appreciate his service.

We talked more about his decision about his treatment from our last visit. Unfortunately with COVID-related smell issues if that is what Is going on with me there Is not an exact cure for this. It was something worth giving a shot and it seemed to improve my smell a little bit. I wasn't looking for a cure-all, I just wanted more explanation as to why.

Dr. Jacobsen was incredible! He validated my symptoms - which is often not something I received when I have previously seen doctors for this issue. He clearly was incredibly knowledgeable on the topic, even though it's a really random and sort of uncommon diagnosis. Most importantly, he could tell when I was distressed because there is no "cure" for this and I didn't love the options there were for treating the symptom - he was empathetic and comforting towards my feelings. It was a really good overall experience - maybe one of my best - seeing a doctor for this particular issue.

The doctor informed me of every possible avenue for me to pursue to aid me.
I waited an hour to see the provider. When he got in there it was very obvious he was just trying to rush me out the door. He barely listened to my issues, stood in the doorway trying to get me to leave, and while I was asking questions trying to get more information and help he brushed me off and referred me somewhere else. I told him my ears have been leaking a yellow fluid for over 4 months after a cold and he told me I was still recovering. Over 4 months later.
The numbing agent used made me feel like my throat closed up, I wonder if there is an alternative, like a numbing spray.
I feel like my time was not respected. Also, I felt like he didn't take my symptoms seriously or believe my account of them ('embellished').
Dr. Jacobsen did not pressure Julia in regard to her treatment. Instead he went above and beyond to speak with a colleague regarding Julia's treatment. His explanation of treatments possibly available for Julia were easy to understand.

The entire Staff at U of U works as a team at all times, with positive attitudes and usualy with extrememly happy natures. The Neuro teams and all teams at the U of U were the most profesional, and personal of any mediacal facilty I have experineced. The staff ratio to patient ratio must be the absolute highest in the entire nation. The quality of care was second to none. I was attended to with the greatest of care, and smiles abounded. I called my Neuro surgery team the "Dream Team" They pulled off what was quoted by a few members as possibly the most complex and successful endoscopic brain (and much more) surgeries of NF2 tumors they have performed to date. Dr Alt was nothing short of a magician, Dr Cauldwell was the same even though he wasn' t the lead surgean was the lead for knowledge and experience. Dr Warner (my absolute favorite Dr in any practice was pivital consulting with an emergency Neuro surgery team who ammased, prepaiared and hovered around my room for over 2 h
He was excellent. He told me about the pain I was going to have and tried to make it easy by being gentle. Gave me good health advice and education. He was compassionate and very competent.

I had an initial appointment with Jorgan Jacobsen, PA-C, for hearing loss. He was incredible throughout the whole visit. He explained perfectly what my results were and answered all my million questions. He comforted me while going over my not-so-good prognosis and explained he would look further into my case to find a different treatment plan. He followed up with me within a few days and went over a new treatment plan. I am super grateful to have such an incredible provider and would highly recommend him to my family and friends. If I could, I would rate him 100/10!

The PA was very nice. However, he just didn't hear my concerns. I had to tell him the same basic info repeatedly. He just didn't seem present. It was the end of the day, so he was probably tired and trying to get through his patients, but I will not go to him again. I need someone who will look me in the eyes, hear what I'm saying, and have a discussion about my care.

Discussion was generally very good. With more time, we might have gotten further into the possible causes of the tinnitus, and the likelihood of its diminishing or worsening.

I kept voicing thoughts and concerns, and he would just respond with some general textbook knowledge about tinnitus instead of actually listening to me.. It was like speaking to a physical manifestation of web MD. I would never recommend someone to him.

My consultation appointment was scheduled before I left the exam room that day which made me happy.

I was told my problem was psychological and I felt very dismissed.
I don't necessarily feel like my concerns with the treatment plan were discussed in a way that made me completely comfortable with the path forward. The message was mostly that these were the treatments that are shown to help worldwide and there wasn't a ton of sympathy for my concerns with the side effects that have caused me a lot of issues in the past.
I had a thorough exam, which was very well explained.
Very professional, very knowledgeable. I know he had other patients, and I felt bad for taking up so much time, because I myself really don't like waiting, but appreciate that he spoke with me for over an hour. I have been struggling to live with some of these symptoms for the past month (and they've come and gone for many years prior), and it's not fun. I dare say it can be a nightmare. That said, I wanted to make sure that everything was covered during this visit, because it took soooo long to get in in the first place. The provider was thorough, but lacked empathy. As someone with autism, I'd like to think that it's generally ideal to keep emotion out of medical treatment, and simply stay objective. I think this should generally be true for most aspects of life. In this particular instance, I feel that philosophy is not necessarily true (lesson learned). It's been such a struggle to find answers and appropriate treatment. To know that someone actually cares, makes a big difference in the outcome, I would think, because there would be more of a drive to reach a resolution.

I haven't met with Dr. Jacobson before. If there are problems they revolve around my hearing problems going back a long time. A tube was inserted in my left ear in 2020 without improving my hearing a great deal.

Dr. Jacobsen actually cured me! It was a simple cure'because he listened and paid attention to my symptoms. My ear was packed with very deep and dry WAX. Once he dug it out my symptoms that I had been having since May were immediately gone!!!

The worst healthcare provider I have ever seen. Doesn't listen to problems and makes up ridiculous/unrelated medical reasons for your symptoms because they didn't do a good physical exam to actually find the problem.
I was very impressed with Mr. Jacobsen's attention to detail and I was very relieved with how thorough he was. He has extraordinary communication. He helped me understand my condition completely, weighing all possibilities and arriving at a diagnosis that was understandable and made total sense to me. He made me feel very well taken care of and that my continued wellness was in fact important to him. I greatly appreciate his conduct.
