  • Dr. Torres Garcia is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah and practices in the Division of Pulmonary and Sleep Medicine at Primary Children’s Hospital. After earning a medical degree and a Master in Health Administration at The Ohio State University, he completed his pediatric training at St. Louis University and Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital. Following residency, Dr. Torres Garcia completed the Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine fellowship program at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. He then received additional Sleep Medicine training at the University of Colorado fellowship program with rotations through Colorado Children’s Hospital, UC Health, the Eastern Colorado Veterans Administration Medical Center, and National Jewish Health. His clinical and research interests have focused on pediatric sleep disorders, asthma, patient safety, and quality improvement. He greatly enjoys helping families make the best decisions for themselves and their children and working with families to provide young people with healthy and happy childhoods through better respiratory health. Dr. Torres Garcia is also a firm believer that everyone could stand to get a little more sleep.
