I absolutely love working with Dr Simonetti! She listens to what I have to say. I totally believe she really cares about my health and for the best way to treat me. We have had deep and serious talks about my health and she is always very engaged and pays attention to everything to everything said. My daughter comes with me to my appointments and she is always included in our discussions. My choice. Dr Simonetti listens to what she is saying and especially when my daughter tells her how I haven't been eating. Starving myself. I really appreciate the concern the Dr has, even when I don't like the fact that my daughter is telling on me. I honestly believe she cares almost as much as my daughter does. I listen to her and because of her genuine care am doing so much better, health wise, mentally and am excited to see what more progress I can make because of her!

Dr Simonetti is the best. She is great at patient care and really making you feel heard. She validates, and is so encouraging. There are 2 doctors at the university of Utah that I trust explicitly, and she is one of them.
It is hard to explain how blessed I am to have the care and attention of Dr. Simonetti and her entire Endocrinology Department. I know that I am receiving the very best care possible and I am delighted to know that she shares this with every patient that she encounters. I didn't like having to go over everything with the fellow and the 2 other people in the room, and then having to repeat everything again once Dr. Simonetti came in for appt. Under Dr Simonetti's care I have now lost 112 lbs. Love her personality and intelligence, but mostly love her skill and effectiveness in getting results! Truly believe she's one of the best bariatric doctors in the country!
I wonder if the care provider has too many individuals on her panel. Some comments make it clear that she is not up to date on my history. It makes it difficult for me to feel safe with the trajectory of changes in care.

I felt that the PA was exceptional. She listened and responded to all of my questions; I did not feel rushed or given the feeling that she needed to move on to others. I was impressed that she had read the information forwarded to her from the referring physician, and was fully prepared to discuss that, and possible conditions I might have, with me. She is an excellent medical practitioner and I am pleased I was able to visit with her!

Dr Simonetti is so exceptionally compassionate, understanding, and encouraging. She shows a great deal of empathy especially considering that she sees people about essentially the same challenges every day. It has been hard to not see results as quickly as I wish they'd come, but she is helping me to not give up and continues to listen, problem solve, apply her expertise, think creatively, and resurrect hope, which is so critical for such a complex, lifelong, highly emotional and discouraging battle. If every doctor had the empathy and kindness of Simonetti, the world would be a better place.

Weight loss is difficult but in the past 2.5 years I've lost around 70 lbs mostly by just reducing portion size and backing off on Coca Cola. The Coke is a really issue for Dr. Simonetti and something that we don't agree on. But since the last visit I took her advice and tried Coke Zero and I think that will work for me and for her well.
