Dr. Gibbons was exceptionally friendly, making an appreciated effort to know my daughter, not just her chart. Highly recommend.
Dr. Gibbons was professional while also being attentive and mindful of the patient and their needs. She listened, not only to my questions and concerns, but those of my child as well. She explained, in detail, so understanding always clear and asked clarifying questions so my child, the patient, and I knew what to expect. It is important for me and my child to have my child respected as an active participant in their healthcare and Dr Gibbons was a full supporter and showed it in the way she cared for and collaborated with us on my child's care.
I get that Dr. Gibbons is used to seeing kids with way bigger problems, so maybe she feels like my child's case is just a waste of time and taking her from kids in more serious situations. However, I felt like she dismissed the concerns I (and my child's PCP and endocrinologists he consulted with before referring us) had for my child. I honestly left the visit more confused and with more questions than when I went in. It's hard to see your child struggling and to be told that everything they're going through is no big deal.
