Kathryn (Kate) Trueheart, PA-C, MPAS, is a highly experienced Physician Assistant specializing in men’s health and urology at the University of Utah. Since joining the Division of Urology in 2011 and the Men's Health team in 2013, Ms. Trueheart has been a vital part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary group dedicated to treating complex male urologic conditions. Her clinical focus includes male infertility, erectile and sexual dysfunction, scrotal contents pain, Peyronie’s disease, hypogonadism, and other disorders affecting male genital health.

With a deep commitment to whole-patient care, Ms. Trueheart brings a unique integrative perspective to her practice. She initially trained in traditional East Asian medicine, earning a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine from Meiji College of Oriental Medicine in Berkeley, California. She practiced as a licensed acupuncturist for several years before pursuing a career in western medicine. In 2008, she graduated from the University of Utah Physician Assistant Program.

In addition to her clinical practice, Ms. Trueheart is actively involved in academic education, research, and community outreach. She has contributed to durable content development for the Men’s Health Advanced Practice Clinician Fellowship, lectured at the University of Utah College of Nursing and College of Communications, and has presented numerous public health talks. She also continues to offer acupuncture services and volunteers at local community health clinics.

Ms. Trueheart is a member of the American Urologic Association, the Sexual Medicine Society of North America, and the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
