Dr. Chen received his medical degree from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, completed his Pediatric residency at the University of Utah and is board-certified in Pediatrics. He also completed the Stanford-Intermountain Fellowship in Population Health, Delivery Science and Primary Care, while obtaining a master’s degree in Health Policy at Stanford School of Medicine.


Dr. Chen is currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Utah and is in the Division of Pediatric Hospital Medicine. He practices at Primary Children's Hospital Salt Lake Campus and the Primary Children's Lehi Hospital. He supports Intermountain Health’s Children’s Health as a Consulting Medical Director within the Healthcare Delivery Institute and Clinical Programs. His academic interests include quality improvement, patient safety, high value care and spreading clinical best practices.
