WESTRIDGE HEALTH CENTERI would not recommend this provider to anyone. I didn't feel listened to and while I did get one or two questions in, I don't feel like this provider cared about me or cared about listening to me. I felt she rushed to get me in and out as soon as possible so I don't feel like I had the space to ask the questions I wanted to. I don't feel like she explained any of the risks or benefits well about my choice of birth control. It was moreso "that's what you want? Okay, let's do that, bye". I felt uncomfortable because of this.

FARMINGTON HEALTH CENTERFrom my first appt with Laura Chelu, MD has been positive regarding her personal charm as well as medical knowledge of reason i desired to see her as a physician. I do need help to get RXs filled. Im not sure if it is the Express Script Pharmacy that is preventing the process or what is actually causing the delay to fill RXs.. if Dr. Chelu will put an Rx in at the UofUniv Pharmacy in Farmington, Ill use my own money to purchase RXs (2ea). Thanks.

Westridge Health CenterDuring this appointment the MA asked if I was comfortable with a Medical Student being present during the appointment, and let me know I would not need a pelvic exam. I thought it was strange that I wasn't having a pelvic exam, but didn't think much of it. I told the MA it was OK for the medical student to be present. When Dr. Chelu and the medical student arrived I was informed I would actually be having a pelvic exam. What I did not realize was that it would be the medical student performing the exam. By the time I realized this, I felt like it was too late to speak up. I had never said I was comfortable with the medical student performing the exam and at the end of the day, this bothered me more than the exam being performed by a student.

She is smart and quick- very quick which is nice but it didn't give me a chance to ask questions. I think she likes to use my chart for communication though.

She took her time with me and never made me feel rushed, which is so rare these days. I was beyond impressed that she didn't just come in to do a routine pap smear and leave. Instead, she thoughtfully reviewed my labs and took a comprehensive look at my overall health. She approached my care with compassion, diligence, and a level of attention that every patient deserves but rarely gets. She truly listened and made me feel seen and heard. Honestly, she's one of the best doctors I've ever had, hands down. FARMINGTON HEALTH CENTERShe never did an exam on me. It was my first time seeing her for my first pregnancy and she didn't offer an ultrasound of the baby. She did not take my concerns seriously and even laughed at something I had brought up. When I asked her about a birth plan, she told me she was not going to be the one birthing the baby and to just go to the nearest hospital. Made me feel very alone. Not how I want to feel going into arguably the scariest thing in my life. After the appointment I was just told I need to make all my appointments for the rest of the pregnancy now because she books out really far out. Just felt like I was a burden. I will not be going back to her or this facility again. I felt so disrespected.
