  • Luisa Raga Pombo, MD, is a pediatric cardiologist at the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Hospital. Dr. Raga Pombo earned her medical degree from the Universidad Central de Venezuela, “Luis Razetti” School of Medicine in Caracas, Venezuela. She completed her Pediatric Residency at Driscoll Children’s Hospital - Texas A&M University, and her Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.

    Dr. Raga Pombo completed additional advanced training in cardiac imaging at Stollery Children’s Hospital – University of Alberta, focusing on 3D echocardiography, transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography, and fetal echocardiography. She has expertise in the use of 3D echocardiography for procedural guidance and surgical planning. She is board certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Cardiology.

    Dr. Raga Pombo specializes in the care of children with congenital and acquired heart diseases, and is also an active member of the Cardiac Home Monitoring Program (CHOMP) following single ventricle and interstage families. Her research interests include the application of advanced imaging techniques to improve the diagnosis, management, and surgical outcomes of congenital heart defects.
