  • Dr. Couldwell received her medical degree from Laval University in Ste-Foy, Quebec, Canada. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal, Canada and a fellowship in Endocrinology at UCLA in Los Angeles, California. She received additional training as an OB-GYN resident at UCLA. She returned to Montreal in 1989 as a fellow in Pediatric Endocrinology and a Research Fellow in Endocrinology.

    Dr. Couldwell is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Diabetes at the University of Utah School of Medicine. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and in the subspecialty of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism.

    Dr. Couldwell's research and clinical interests include diseases of the pituitary, neuroendocrinology and parent-child interactions in managing type 1 diabetes. Dr. Couldwell is an educator who teaches residents and medical students in pediatric medicine as well as providing continuing medical education lectures for pediatricians and family medicine providers.

    Doctor Couldwell is one of the best! I feel that after I had my visit, the issues that I have been experiencing regarding my diabetes problems have been addressed and Dr. Couldwell is helping me to understand what needs to be done to move forward.

    Marie COULDWELL has been my doctor for about three years. She is very professional. She understands everything about Diabetes. She spent the time to help me get better. Bring my A1c back down. She is very caring. She is on top of my diabetes and helping me. She is very respectable doctor. I would recommend to anyone go see her because she is wonderful doctor sheÕs spends time with you very thorough examination. If thereÕs something that she feels, thatÕs not proper for me. She addresses it right away. She has been very helpful to me and bringing my A1 seed back down. God bless her. I hope there will be many many more doctors just like her thank you
