Honestly the doctor made me feel informed and educated. Nice as heck really to the point when she let me know that due to my insurance coverage I may have to go through someone else I got disappointed. My whole experience treating a cataract has been an astonishingly good one. I had previously been treated for a cataract in my other eye in a well-regarded clinic in Northern Utah. But I had Dr Larochelle treat this one and the difference was night and day making my previous experience seem almost barbaric. My results are astonishing and the entire experience from the many staff who were with me during surgery, the equipment used in surgery, the procedures and the thoroughness of everyone involved was several levels above what I had previously experienced. I not only would recommend Moran and Dr Larochelle but I actively AM recommending them to anyone who might need their services. Thank you

I was not told anything about my eye exam, and it seemed I was being tested for a prescription for glasses. I don't know if I need them or not and I'm confused. When the doctor left I assumed the MA would come back in and explain why my exam showed or at least tell me what strength readers I need.

Dr Larochelle is an exceptional physician. My vision has markedly improved. She listens and provides good guidance. I have worn glasses since I was eight, since the cataract surgery with multifocal lenses, I no longer need glasses not even for reading. She is a wonderful and caring physician. I like they manner she expalins each procedure, especially with correcting my astigmatism with the laser. Everyone at Moran Eye Center is top notch. Absolutely no complaints from me!

Very thorough and knowledgeable but not much feedback or feelings of real caring. Not open to giving advice about other options outside of her conclusions on treatment even when asked about anything that I can do to make things better for me.
I think that she is very knowledgeable about my sons eye conditions. However,I feel very rushed through the appointments. I don't have opportunities to ask questions. I am very concerned about my son's eye sight. Most of the people I see in the waiting room are past the age of retirement and I bring my 11 year old. Although she doesn't see any cause for treatment at the time of the appointment, I would like opportunities to discuss what this condition (uveitis) may mean long term for my son.
Both the nurse and doc were excellent in every way! The nurse was especially good.

I was at facility for a follow up after cataract surgery. My care has been excellent and the people providing the care from administrative staff, to assistants, to nurses, to Dr. LaRochelle has been excellent.
Was there for follow up on cataract surgery. Had a couple of concerns, but Doctor seemed distracted, or maybe didn't make it clear my concerns were just part of normal healing.
No treatment was required, fortunately, but I feel it was studied thoroughly and follow-up visits will determine if/when treatment becomes necessary.
This is the best I have ever seen after wearing glasses for 60 years!!

Dr. Larochelle has been wonderful. This was my first cataract surgery and she reassured me throughout that my eye and I would be fine. My second eye will need cataract removal in the next year is so and I want Dr. Larochelle and her team doing the surgery. I felt that the appointment was rushed. Coming back, I wrote a note to the care provider in the My Chart and mentioned this. Hearing this, the care provider called me the next day and clarified my doubts. I feel that patients, with appropriate background who want more in-depth and scientific explanation would be benefited and would also feel happy if the care providers explain in more technical terms with going in-depth.
I went into this visit expecting a routine check-up and ended up having to have a surgery. Although this surgery was noninvasive, I was caught off guard by the news and feeling very nervous. My doctor, the receptionists and nurses helped to mitigate that anxiety with every step. They took care of insurance authorization, explained every step of the process, and laid out all of the possible side effects and outcomes of the surgery. When it was time to begin the procedure, Dr. LaRochelle and the nurse were both very professional and thorough. However, in spite of this professionalism and efficiency, they both were very compassionate and kind throughout the whole process. They took every step to make me feel comfortable and to relieve my anxiety. Also, I should note, even with this added surgery, my entire appointment took less than two hours from arrival at the clinic - which is incredible considering my experience with other specialist visits involve a time frame of 4 hours on average.

I have been a bit frustrated with the outcome of my R cataract surgery and longer than expected recovery. Dr. L has been good about explaining issues and discussing options. She has been understandably conservative but now seems more focused on getting me results as expected pre-surgery.

I can't find it in my chart. Dr. LaRochelle accommodated my travel restrictions, and I was able to see her before my scheduled appointment. In addition, she took the time to double check my eye pressure thoroughly and to explain (and also print) the medication drops schedule. Lastly, she communicated the purpose for our next visit. The Moran Eye Center should be proud (and work to support and retain) clinicians and surgeons of this caliber. I am certainly proud and honored to be her patient. Bravo!
There doesn't seem to be a lot of communication between [NAME REMOVED]'s rheumatology team, the ophthalmology team at the Moran, and the ophthalmology team at Primary children's. It's extremely frustrating when the communication regarding my child's care has to be initiated by me rather than her care teams talking directly to each other.
