My whole experience treating a cataract has been an astonishingly good one. I had previously been treated for a cataract in my other eye in a well-regarded clinic in Northern Utah. But I had Dr Larochelle treat this one and the difference was night and day making my previous experience seem almost barbaric. My results are astonishing and the entire experience from the many staff who were with me during surgery, the equipment used in surgery, the procedures and the thoroughness of everyone involved was several levels above what I had previously experienced. Dr Larochelle is very professional and I trust her examination and recommendations. She could have made a comparison with my past vision exam and told me how my vision had changed. She could have inquired more about my macular degeneration and what I was doing to monitor that.

I have worn glasses since I was eight, since the cataract surgery with multifocal lenses, I no longer need glasses not even for reading. She is a wonderful and caring physician. I like they manner she expalins each procedure, especially with correcting my astigmatism with the laser. Everyone at Moran Eye Center is top notch. Absolutely no complaints from me!

I have been a bit frustrated with the outcome of my R cataract surgery and longer than expected recovery. Dr. L has been good about explaining issues and discussing options. She has been understandably conservative but now seems more focused on getting me results as expected pre-surgery.

No treatment was required, fortunately, but I feel it was studied thoroughly and follow-up visits will determine if/when treatment becomes necessary.
Was there for follow up on cataract surgery. Had a couple of concerns, but Doctor seemed distracted, or maybe didn't make it clear my concerns were just part of normal healing.
I wish they would have shown me the scan and what it meant. I understand better with visuals.
I only saw her for about 5 minutes and she didn't tell me anything new. There wasn't a whole lot of communication from her. There was no communication about waiting or back ups

I think that she is very knowledgeable about my sons eye conditions. However,I feel very rushed through the appointments. I don't have opportunities to ask questions. I am very concerned about my son's eye sight. Most of the people I see in the waiting room are past the age of retirement and I bring my 11 year old. Although she doesn't see any cause for treatment at the time of the appointment, I would like opportunities to discuss what this condition (uveitis) may mean long term for my son.

I have been impressed by Dr. Larochelle & her attention to detail regarding my plan of care. She explained what she saw in my MRI, & what needed to be done next to resolve the issue. I especially appreciate her rapid response to my questions where we communicate by MyChart & phone. As an example, Dr. Larochelle made sure I had a refill of my antibiotic RX so I had coverage while she & I were both traveling at the same time.

Dr. LaRochelle was patient and listened to me all the way. (and I can talk) Her and staff showed patience and care that makes me confident when I leave.

I feel like she doesn't care that people can't afford her plan of care or side affect explained to her if she chooses a medication the patient has side affects that cause her to not be able to work knowing [NAME REMOVED] financial situation.

Dr. Larochelle is a great doctor and she earned my trust! Plus Dr. Vitale has been my primary specialist for 21years, so if he recommends someone then that's good enough for me
I'm not sure it was the best care I've received. I never got a print out of my postop care with medications and how to taper off al eye drops and pills. I have no idea what I'm supposed to do. I can't find it in my chart. Very upset about that and that I called today Monday 1/18/21 trying to get the information and a nurse to contact me with concerns and haven't heard a word from anyone all day!!

Dr. LaRochelle was very attentive, interested in what I had to say, concerned about my condition, thorough in her exam and questioning, and provided as much time as I required. She also appeared to be appropriately educated and knowledgeable in my condition.
I truly felt the physician's concern for me and her chair side manner.

I understand that the office was busy and a bit behind the day I was in, however, I had a couple questions, and I felt that the doctor was more interested in getting me out the door than listening to me. I left the office pretty discouraged.

Dr. Larochelle was SO nice and kind. I've had a wild year medically and recently found out the source of all my complications. When I told her, she was excited for me and said, "I'm so glad you finally have a diagnosis!" Very kind and attentive.
Dr. Larochelle is awesome. She took the time to explain my condition and reassure me.
There doesn't seem to be a lot of communication between [NAME REMOVED]'s rheumatology team, the ophthalmology team at the Moran, and the ophthalmology team at Primary children's. It's extremely frustrating when the communication regarding my child's care has to be initiated by me rather than her care teams talking directly to each other.
Everyone I saw, from intake to checkout was professional, caring, knowledgeable, and helpful.

this is the fourth doctor I have seen for this and no one can tell me what it is. She was able to tell me what it was, but not why it happens. However, we came up with a treatment plan that made me feel like she at least cared.

I think Dr Larochelle is the best! I appreciate her bedside manner and open communication. I did have an issue last year with the serum put into my eyes to dilate them. I have felt that she has always been straightforward with me.
Didn't love the ophthalmologist herself. Marissa ? I felt like a number. She spent may 30 seconds with me. It's okay, the blond woman who helped me did everything.

Dr. LaRochelle accommodated my travel restrictions, and I was able to see her before my scheduled appointment. In addition, she took the time to double check my eye pressure thoroughly and to explain (and also print) the medication drops schedule. Lastly, she communicated the purpose for our next visit. The Moran Eye Center should be proud (and work to support and retain) clinicians and surgeons of this caliber. I am certainly proud and honored to be her patient. Bravo!
I felt that the appointment was rushed. Coming back, I wrote a note to the care provider in the My Chart and mentioned this. Hearing this, the care provider called me the next day and clarified my doubts. I feel that patients, with appropriate background who want more in-depth and scientific explanation would be benefited and would also feel happy if the care providers explain in more technical terms with going in-depth.
Most definitely will recommend Dr. LaRochelle. Very thorough in attending to my eye conditions, in addition to being a gifted surgeon.

I went into this visit expecting a routine check-up and ended up having to have a surgery. Although this surgery was noninvasive, I was caught off guard by the news and feeling very nervous. My doctor, the receptionists and nurses helped to mitigate that anxiety with every step. They took care of insurance authorization, explained every step of the process, and laid out all of the possible side effects and outcomes of the surgery. When it was time to begin the procedure, Dr. LaRochelle and the nurse were both very professional and thorough. However, in spite of this professionalism and efficiency, they both were very compassionate and kind throughout the whole process. They took every step to make me feel comfortable and to relieve my anxiety. Also, I should note, even with this added surgery, my entire appointment took less than two hours from arrival at the clinic - which is incredible considering my experience with other specialist visits involve a time frame of 4 hours on average.
