Meredith Ehn, DO, DPT is board-certified in both Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine. She specializes in the care of both athletes and non-athletes alike, focusing on diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of complex musculoskeletal conditions as well as sports and musculoskeletal injuries in adaptive athletes. She utilizes musculoskeletal ultrasound to aid in diagnosis and treatment. In addition to her outpatient adaptive musculoskeletal and sports practice, Dr. Ehn works as a consult attending at University Hospital. These two roles offer a complex and rewarding blend of interaction with patients that often spans the full spectrum of their recovery journey.
Dr. Ehn has a particular interest in treatment of acute and chronic injuries in cyclists and skiers of all ability levels. She is the head team physician for US Para Snowboarding and is a sports medicine consultant for US-based women’s professional cycling teams. She has provided medical coverage at the UCI Tour of Utah and Salt Lake Criterium as well as NCAA and World Cup Skiing and Para Snowboarding events, among many others. Prior to medical school, she had a rewarding 9-year career as an orthopedic and sports physical therapist, specializing in the rehabilitation of cycling and skiing related injuries.
Her research interests align closely with her clinical focus, specifically the epidemiology and prevention of acute and chronic injuries in cyclists and skiers. Her current research includes injury epidemiology and prevention of injuries in youth mountain bike racing.
In addition to her clinical and research interests, Dr. Ehn is an Associate Program Director of the Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation residency program.
