It was during his medical education, that he became interested in biomedical informatics as it relates to clinical decision support and patient safety and eventually received a Master’s of Science in Biomedical Informatics from the University of Utah. He completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Washington Boise Internal Medicine Residency. Clinical interests including disease prevention, disease management, culinary medicine, clinical decision support, and patient safety.

    Dr. Pestotnik’s personal interests, include fly fishing, alpine skiing, and golfing, cooking and spending time with his wife and son.

    He seemed to be in a hurry to move on. Said to stay on what medication I already had. I told him I needed all refilled and none got refilled. I had to call back and only half got refilled, then transferred me to a pharmacist to take care of me. Now waiting for 2 weeks for that appointment and still no medication for my diabetes, so it will be a month that I haven't taken medication for it. Seems like it is no big deal with my health concerns.
