Dr Spina is the best doctor you could ask for. He saved my life. I had a super bug that ate away a lower disc in my back. It was extremely painful and Dr's in Idaho was unable to work on me. Dr. Spina and the team he works with are excellent. Not only is Dr. Spina a skilled surgeon, but he has a great team that makes sure questions are answered very quickly, refills are processed, and concerns are addressed. If you ever need a Neurologist / Surgeon go no further. I've never have had a Doctor spend more time (not in a rush) expaining my condition, giving me options all in simple language. When it was time for surgery, I had all my questions answered and procedure explained. During my surgery, they kept my family informed and he checked on me when I woke up from the anaesthesia. He explained how everything went (success)! His staff kept in touch with me and my 6=week check up went great. Besides Dr. Spina being the best surgeon he's also one of the nicest!

I was referred from out of state. The decision as to what surgery was best was difficult. I consulted several doctors before Dr. Spina. I had positive input from a patient , physical therapist, Dr Doina former colleague and my local orthopedic team. I am so grateful Dr. Spina was my Dr. I am so impressed with him & his staff! I feel great after each apt because he is so positive! I feel like I am doing terrific!
Dr Spina performed surgery 4 years ago to fuse L4-L5. My recovery has been much better than I expected. L4 was shifted forward on L5 about 7mm which was pinching both the spinal cord and the lateral nerves to my legs. I had been told that surgery could not fix this condition, Dr Spina suceeded in shifting the alignment back enough to eliminate all of my leg pain and that associated with that joint. I didn't tolerate PT well post op. but have taken to walking 4-8 miles per week. This has reduced my back pain to an episode every couple of months. I believe I am an exception to the results most people have and wish anyone well who is experiencing the back pain and sciatica issues that I was. I certainly will go to Dr Spina in the future if my spine continues to deteriorate.

He talked me through my question of having hip replacement surgery or back surgery first and helped me decide to do the hip surgery first then reevaluate the need for back surgery.

It was clear that he didn't review my case file or test results and seemed surprised that I knew more about my test results than he did. He didn't have an explanation as to why my pain and symptoms are not caused by the obvious trauma and basically said "I'm a difficult person to figure out and maybe try injections again or ablation, not sure what the plan is I will talk to dr Kendall. Come back in 3 months." No interest in discussion alternative pain relief or options. I sure do not have any confidence that he will spend 10 seconds thinking about my case beyond the 5 minutes he spent with me.

i had an attitude towards Dr Spina going in to my first appointment because i had read some unfavorable reviews, boy were those reviews WRONG! Dr Spina listened to me and ordered some tests, he found my brain tumor! No one since 2015 had been listening to me about my headaches and vision changes, i had been told it was everything under the sun (ironvitamin b-12, anemia issues, etc) he listened to me and had me do a MRI with and with out contrast and found my brain tumor, i had surgery to remove it and i am doing so muh better.... I CAN NOT THANK HIM ENOUGH!

This visit was pretty much not needed, they just asked me how I'm doing and said they can't help me and to continue with pain management.
I am very appreciative of the patience of all staff I work with during my visits. I'm sure I'm becoming a pain or a complainer about my issues but am never treated like that
My experiences with my Primary care provider, Dr. Gregory Cetton and my Orthopaedic Surgeon Dr. Nicolas Spina have been very complete, always informative, and considerate.
