  • Sabrina M. Bedell, MD, is a gynecologic oncologist at the University of Utah. Clinically she sees patients for evaluation and management of new gynecologic cancer diagnosis, surveillance during and after treatment of gynecologic cancer, and screening and management of high risk and hereditary cancer populations including those with BRCA mutations and Lynch/HNPCC syndromes. She is passionate about providing equitable and inclusive care to people of the global majority, LGBTQ+ individuals and low-income and rural populations.

    Dr. Bedell is an avid skier, snowboarder, and bouldering rock climber who is excited to be back in the West (originally from Northern California) after completing training on the East Coast and in the Midwest. She has a loving husband and son to enjoy outdoor adventures and share daily life with, and is looking forward to building community here in Utah.

    Dr. Bedell received her medical degree from the University of Vermont School of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont. She then completed an obstetrics and gynecology residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota and fellowship in gynecologic oncology at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio.

    Dr Sabrina Bedell is exceptional in what she does. She was the only doctor who was able to correctly diagnose the mass to be an ovarian cancer. She and her team successfully performed laparotomy which included removal of huge mass, salpingo-oophorectomy ( hysterectomy), bladder peritonectomy, omentectomy. She was very instrumental in treating post surgery symptoms like stomach was significantly distended, Small volume pneumoperitoneum, ascites and mesenteric stranding, Gas-containing left inguinal hernia etc. She and her team worked diligently in identify and correctly treating all the symptoms mentioned. My follow up appointment with her are very easy. She has been very supportive and helpful throughout the time of surgery, in hospital and post surgery checkups. Can¿t thank her and her team enough for helping me regain my health, which has also left a positive impact on my overall health. I would highly recommend her to anyone and rest assured they are in good hands.
