Dr. Samuel Wilhite is an Assistant Professor in Interventional Radiology at University of Utah Health and Huntsman Cancer Hospital. Originally from the Midwest, he trained at Indiana University for medical school, University of Utah for his radiology residency, and University of Pennsylvania for interventional radiology sub-specialization. Along with his colleagues, he specializes in minimally invasive, image-guided procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of complex conditions, with expertise in oncologic interventions, endocrine disorders, and lymphatic conditions.

His clinical interests include liver-directed therapy for neuroendocrine tumors, venous sampling for endocrine disorders, renal cryoablation for localized kidney cancer, and prostate artery embolization. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Wilhite is dedicated to resident and student education and interdisciplinary collaboration, helping train the next generation of radiologists and promoting awareness of the expanding role of Interventional Radiology in modern medicine. His academic and professional pursuits emphasize evidence-based practice, technical innovation, and patient-centered care.

Outside the hospital, Dr. Wilhite enjoys engaging with creative projects that merge medicine, design, and technology, as well as many of the outdoor activities that Utah has to offer.
