All they told me in Idaho Falls, ID was to drink water or take magnesium which I already do and made no sense. So I am happy that now that I will be getting an answer.

I can't say enough about how well Sara treated me on every single visit. She never tried to rush me out of an appointment and always thoroughly explained everything to me. When I first met Sarah she was explaining my MRI and XRays and I was confused because it was different than what I had been told about my first back surgery. I was struggling to wrap my head around it and felt I might have seemed disrespectful. She was so patient and understanding. I messaged her later to apologize for seeming rude. I was in a head on accident two days after my injection into C-7, I called down to let her nurse know what had happened and that I was in the ER in Sun Valley Idaho. However, they did very poorly communicating my care after surgery and the fact that they had decided to change and cut down my pain medication after surgery when I needed pain management the most. They had no explanation for cutting my regular pain meds out.

Sarah provided good feedback to my physical questions. However, I would like health care professionals to question how an injury affects overall physical and mental health. A prior online questionnaire asked a few questions relating to this area but no room for a response. Questionnaire responses do not replace time and concern provided by a one on one visit with my doctor/PA. I feel they are always pushed for time and anxious to move on to the next patient.

The PA (Sara) was very kind and calm; never acted like my questions or concerns were stupid or that she was in too big of a hurry to answer. Each visit she explained what would be happening and why it was necessary, giving me the option of accepting and trying each treatment. When the steroid shots did not help and physical therapy only gave about 25% relief, and the traction treatment gave about 60-75% relief for 1-4 hours, she and the physician explained that was indicative of why surgery would be the best option. Then the surgeon, Dr. Bisson, came into the exam room and also went through all the procedures and explained the pros and cons, and the risks, etc.

I am so pleased to have Sara McEvoy as my neurosurgery care team. After being referring to Dr,. Bisson. Sara reviewed my case with Dr. Bisson and they both agreed to do the spinal fusion procedure. I was in surgery within a month and I am so pleased with the results. Sara is very compassionate and care about my health. I would recommend her for any spinal issues she is very excellent provider.

Dr. McEvoy was able two schedule me for an MRI within 15 minutes of examining and listening to my symptoms of severe neck pain shoulder pain, arm pain and paralysis of my right arm. After she read the MRI she was able to schedule me to have a steroid injection the same day.
I always receive excellent care at this facility and the provider explains procedures, etc. with my well being in mind.

Sara McEvoy is just awesome to work with. Her evaluation of my right foot drop issue was spot on. The EMG report supported her initial assessment: peroneal nerve issue not related the lumbar issues. We are also watching new large disc herniation at L2-3, and I'm proceeding conservatively. I was very impressed with my interactions with Dr. McEvoy. She was thorough in her explanation of my spine and the cause of my pain. I greatly appreciated her showing me different images of my MRI and also using a model vertebrae during our discussion. I was fully aware of the risks associated with the surgery. Video conferencing is putting oneself into a more relaxed situation. It is very similar to when a doctor would make house visits. The conference is very to the point as Sara McEvoy had reviewed my chart and knew what to ask to start the visit. Sara was very attentive, listened to my question, asked further questions to gain more understanding, and answered. She provided additional comments of her knowledge and we worked together.
she gave me the pros and the cons of my pain and how to take other avenues of treatment other then surgery. since the surgery would be damaging later down the road.
