Sarah Lombardo, MD was born and raised in Long Beach, California. She has recently joined the Division of General Surgery, Section of Acute Care Surgery as Assistant Professor of Surgery.

Dr. Lombardo completed her undergraduate studies in Molecular Biology at UCLA where she played soccer for 4 years and rowed for 2 years. She earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She then attended Duke University for her masters in Global Health. Dr. Lombardo completed her residency training in general surgery at the University of Utah, before relocating to Nashville, Tennessee for a two-year fellowship in trauma and critical care at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Dr. Lombardo is excited to return home to Salt Lake City and the University of Utah. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, coming up with any excuse to be outdoors, and adding to her ever-growing collection of hobbies.
