Dr. Shannon McKim is from Houston, Texas. She completed her undergraduate degree at Baylor University and her medical degree at Rocky Vista University. Her medical interests include tropical medicine, population wellness, bench research, obstetrics, and patient advocacy. She has a passion for horticulture, and skiing. She also enjoys running, biking, fishing, cooking, and spending time with her family. Dr. McKim chose the University of Utah based on the welcoming environment created by all faculty, and the opportunity to complete her residency training with a program at the forefront of medical innovation and patient excellence.
