Steve Ruiz, MPAS, PA-C, is a Physician Assistant with 22 years of clinical experience in Family Practice and Urgent Care. He has been devotedly serving communities in Northern Utah County for all of those years and is so excited to be joining our team at U Health in Orem. In addition to his general interest and exceptional skill in family medicine, Steve has particular clinical interest in preventative medicine, dietary efforts and lifestyle changes for overall health, injury and fracture care, skin problems and procedures and ingrown toenail removal. He is adjunctive faculty at the University of Utah PA program. He enjoys practicing the entire spectrum of family medicine and optimism is his basic nature. He tries to treat every patient the same way he would want his own family treated.

Steve was born and raised in Mount Pleasant, Utah. He received his post-high school education at Snow College, Utah State University and completed his education at the esteemed Physician Assistant Program at the University of Utah in 2001.

Steve has been married to Kristina for 29 years and they are the parents of 3 amazing children. He enjoys writing, reading, fishing, movies and going to Disneyland! He has a great sense of humor and loves to keep everyone around him smiling.
