The worst experience I've ever had with any medical professional. Mr. Jones was not only possessing of inexcusable bedside manner, but was at times outwardly aggressive towards myself as a patient for the infraction of politely asking questions about his recommended treatments. In my first and only encounter with Mr. Jones, he frequently went on tirades about how social media makes people falsely believe they have certain afflictions, in reference to an attention deficit diagnosis I was given almost two decades ago and have been receiving treatment for ever since. He also ranted about "always being the villain" and having patients who despised him on multiple occasions, despite me repeatedly telling him that I had no ill will and understood that he was only doing his job. Beyond his loud, aggressive, and condescending tone, he also shoved his finger aggressive in my face at one point to interrupt a question I had about some medication side effects. Absolutely inexcusable behavior

He seemed distant and distracted - he read my chart in my presence (sitting there in silence for a while) and I reminded him it was a follow up to review blood work. It must have been an off day for him because on the first visit he seemed more personable. I also felt he was harping on how much weight I wanted to lose--- I said several times "I don't have a number in mind" I wasn't there about losing weight. I only brought it up because I felt it could be a symptom or evidence of an internal change. I also felt he was dismissive.
My Doctor NEVER called me back after my exam and blood work to tell me the results. Tryed to contact stuff but they made exuses and never tiled me results. I have NEVER seen this before. They wanted me to do US and schedule another appointment with him to find anything out. UNBELIVABLE!

Dr. Tom Jones is AWESOME!!!!
He was super helpful, very wise, and explained everything very well.
I'm very disappointed in my doctor. he wasn't prepared for my appointment. I was told that we would be following up on medication and my blood results. we covered the medication then he was ready to be done. I had to remind him of the blood results. during our initial visit I had told him that I was a diabetic, and that is why I thought we were doing blood work. so after I reminded him of the blood work he look at my file again and said I was a diabetic.. I told him I knew that and I had mentioned that to him during our last visit and his response was "I see over 400 patients" and seemed annoyed. he then told me he was going to put me on a medication, I advised him that medication and dosage made me very sick previously. and told him the old regime I was on most recently. he told me that it doesn't work and that he will not put me on those medications cause he didn't believe in it. he ended up prescribing me the medications that made me sick prior anyway.
Love Tom Jones, he is caring, thoughtful, polite, kind and listens to your concerns.

Tom is the best. He always looks at the whole medical picture to address the issue and ensure I get scheduled for needed tests. I have been coming to him for years because he is so amazing and intelligent! And we always have many laughs!

I felt ignored and I am still sick
I waited over 40 minutes after my scheduled appointment before I was connected with my Dr, there was no mention or reason why this happened, for a 10 minute virtual appointment. I understand there are wait times but 40 minutes felt excessive without explanation.

He listened, he prescribed medication, he requested exrays. a covid test, but gave me the medicine I needed. I didn't know how much I wasn't breathing until he gave me the antibiotics. Wow what a difference. by day 2 I could actually breathe. What a difference.

PA Thomas Jones genuinely cares about you at a patient.I never feel like just a number. He has always taken time to listen to me and to make sure I understand what and why he is running tests or checking for...or whatever is going on with me. My now adult children have also continued having him as their provider now as well. He has taken care of them since they where 5 and 6.I think PA Thomas Jones is a jewel in the University of Utah's Redwood Clinic's crown.

Tom is one of the most kind, caring, and compassionate healthcare providers I have ever known. I greatly appreciate his taking the time to treat me in a manner that is best for me. very concerning DOCTOR and nurses made me feel like they were all in. when it came to get me better. they looked at me like a normal human being not a person like I was 25yrs ago when I made bad decisions. Provider's care, questions asked and tests arranged for were appropriate to establish the patient's medical condition and needs.
This was a great tool to use at this time. Virtual visits arent always the way to go, but they are great!

just said it was more than likely Bronchitis/or upper respiratory infection so it would have to just play out .. but wish I never got sick . I hate it so Thank you for seeing me Dr Thomas and all your attending staff
Thomas Jones is the best provider there at Redwood. He never makes the appointment feel rushed, he goes through every option with you to make sure you fully understand, and helps you make the best decision for you! I recommend him to anyone that is looking for a new PCP.
Dr. Tom Jones dont really seem to listen to myself or my wife when Im trying to express my concerns about my health. I understand he could possibly be over loaded with patients (which is why the wait time is always hour or more) but he never seems to recall who I am what health plan weve made at previous visits or what my health issue. Each time I visit him its like the first time Im visiting him. Its definitely not on a personal level and I feel like Im not being heard. Im currently looking for another provider that Im able to get proper care that will show the concern that is necessary! Thank you!
